Came here for a charity event and a wedding in the past. Beautifully decorated for parties of all kind. Very festive decorated . Chinese food , mostly Cantonese.. many Vietnamese are here as well …

Close to residential homes. They leave the doors open so all the noise goes out to the homes. We just call the cops for noise ordinance. If you book it make sure your doors stay closed or we are calling.

It's been 2 months after my wedding and finally I decided to write a review. I wasn't planning to write a review because I honestly thought Andy was a good guy and knowing that his wife's cousins are good Catholics, I refrained from writing for a long time. Also the fact that my biggest mistake was not reading the bad reviews about Golden Sea. Who knew there were former brides facing similar situations that I had faced and it involved Andy, manager and staff. Talking with Andy and telling him what I wanted before the wedding was fine. He made me feel like everything was taken care of. Another big mistake was not having Andy write everything down on paper. He's nice and all when you consult with him and he has all these amazing ideas. But on the actual day of the wedding, a lot of things happened. Here's some of the miscommunications that occurred: 1. Andy promised me that the open bar was from 6pm-10pm with 30 min stop period. This was not written down. I made a bar sign that said 6pm-10pm open bar. The nice thing to do is if you see that sign that the bride has made, you could have told the bride or groom that the open bar would only last until 9:30pm. Well 9:30pm rolled around and the bartenders finally said the drinks are going to be charged extra after they were poured in a glass. I had a lot of out of town guests who are hard drinkers. When it's open bar, it is expected to be open bar, but the bartenders were strict and allowed 1 drink at a time per person and if they wanted another, they had to get back in line. How hard is it to pour a 2nd glass?!?!?! 2. With the expensive package menu, Andy was in charge to pay half of the cake so that I would get my $50 deposit back from van's bakery. He did not tell me or my husband or anyone that he was going to pay $10 less and I ended up getting $40 back from Vans bakery. $10 was not a big deal, but how hard is it to not communicate with us about it? 3. My mom was told that the live band was getting charged half the cost of the table they were sitting at, but was not told that they would get less courses than the rest of the guests. It would be nice to know that the live band table were not getting the same amount of food as the guests, otherwise I would have paid for them as a full table. I can't compare to any other wedding banquets like this, but if you do consider Golden Sea and working with Andy, please make sure you are clear with what you want and whatever Andy says, make sure it is Andy's handwriting that is written in the contract. And ask all the questions, be very clear and specific. I wanted things to be simple and organized, but it got messy and complicated because things were not communicated clearly. And also, don't expect to get drunk at their open bar. The bartenders or whoever in charge (probably the manager), they are stingy to give out alcohol.

Just had my 50th bday party at Golden Sea for 200 of my family and friends and it was a huge hit. The restaurant was super nicely decorated with lights and decorations. I was able to work closely with them to coordinate the layout and menu. They were super easy to work it. We were able to fit in an inflatable photo booth, dessert bar, cigar bar, and boba bar.Their sound system sounded amazing for karaoke and dancing. We were also able to upload our pics onto a large screen on the stage.The food was universally praised and the staff was right on top of serving my guests. We also book an open bar and everyone had a great time eating drinking and dancing the night away. The staff is great to work with and I would not hesitate to use them again, in fact we already booked our golf tournament banquet with them for December.

Attended a friend's wedding here recently and was served a 9 course meal. The only standout dish was the crispy boneless chicken stuffed with shrimp paste. Knives were not provided at all to cut the fried fish so no one at my table touched it. It was all bones.

Had my 50th bday party here with about 200 people. The restaurant and venue was a huge hit. The setting is beautiful inside with really nice lights and a large screen backdrop. We had plenty of place to set up a photo booth, dessert bar and boba bar. The food was excellent and the guests complimented me multiple times on the food. The staff is very easy to work with and easy to negotiate menu options, bar options, entertainment etc. highly recommended for birthdays/ weddings and special events

Unfortunately, we had a traumatizing experience at this venue because we were given it extremely dirty before our event. We constantly followed up with our secured date to ensure everything will be ready the day of. When we arrived early to set up, the worker told us our event is not for that day. I blame the owner for not being efficient with his staff. The venue was extremely dirty when we received it, and we were lied to about enough long tables for our food buffet and dessert. It's shocking that we ended up having to clean the venue and call up long table rentals. I am unsure how the owner allows his venue to be given extremely dirty for the next event. The stress the owner gave us by giving us a dirty venue will never be forgotten. The owner should be giving us a refund after we ended up having to clean and organize the venue ourselves. I would never trust this place again.
Food was just OK. Sounds were too loud and unclear, turning music into annoying noises and talking/singing into screams. Guests used their own utensils to dig into the serving dishes on the table. Some talked and laughed while doing so. If they used the large spoon that came with the dish, they let it touch their eaten food. I think this happens not because people are uneducated and careless, but because the host/restaurant doesn't take public health seriously when serving food. The only dish they served "correctly" and professionally was the soup, which the waiter scooped up and pour into each guest's bowl then took the big serving bowl away. I wish they did exactly that for every dish they brought out!

When the lights are dim it’s beautiful. But tables are not sturdy I had to go through each one to make sure people would be able to eat comfortably without it moving or being unleveled. There was dead roaches! Half smoked Cigarettes thrown on the floor and the bathrooms are disgusting, the chairs filthy old gum on the dance floor and we had to do the cleaning because they looked at us like we were crazy! They charge to keep your drinks cold, they wanted to charge per table to set up!!! they charge to keep the cake refrigerated and we needed water for the trays and they refused to give us any. They charged us to go into the place at 9am because they originally would not let us in until 1pm to set up and the event started at 330pm!! The only nice people was the young kid doing all the running around and the female bar tender. Stay away from here i wouldn’t have picked this hall but my daughter n her dad ended up there and he signed.stay away!!!’
