First time trying Hanagi and we were really happy with it. The restaurant feels a bit tucked away, more cozy than a typical hotel place, which we liked. Our kids were tired and a little cranky, but the staff stayed very patient and friendly the whole time. The photographer somehow caught the one moment when everyone was actually smiling at the same time, and the print we took home ended up being one of our favorite photos from this trip.

We came to Hanagi after a long day at the parks and it was exactly the kind of calm dinner we were hoping for. The rolls and sashimi tasted fresh, and the tempura was light, not oily. Service was easygoing but still on top of things. They also had a photographer who offered to take a family picture - we said yes, and the printed photo turned out way better than we expected. It’s one of those little things that made the night feel special.

Stayed at the hotel and decided to try Hanagi, and it ended up being a really nice surprise. It’s quiet, relaxed, and the sushi was actually very good - the fish tasted fresh and the plates looked clean and simple, not overdone. Our server took time to explain a couple of things on the menu to us. There was also a photographer walking around; he took a few quick shots of our family at the table and later brought us a printed photo that honestly looks like something from a vacation album.

Really good. Legit chefs
Outstanding quality and our server was right in as soon as we got seated. Great forum, tables with screens in separate spaces. Selection of specials was great, we had a good night . Anaheim restaurants had been kind of mediocre this week, but this one stands out.
I thought to myself, there was no way this sushi restaurant is gonna be good inside of this hotel, I was unbelievably wrong. The single greatest sushi I’ve ever experienced in my life!

We had an amazing date night here. The sushi was excellent as was the service. My water never was empty and they were attentive but not annoyingly so. Truly an incredible experience. We got the 12 piece omakase and I was blown away by the portion sizes and everything tasted fresh and delicious!!! We didn't have any of the rolls except the toro maki roll that came with so can't speak to that but I highly Recommend the omakase and will be back!
Had a great time. Each table is private. Service is excellent. Sushi is excellent and super fresh. They don't have traditional alcohol beverages on the menu, but our waiter went out to the bar in the lobby to get me my beverage of choice.

Amazing serive and amazing food. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Our favorite was the Sea Bass (I forgot to take a pic) and we want to go back. So the next time we're in the area (we usually are there for Disneyland) we will probably go there for dinner again. If you are in the area, you should go too!

When I saw the fake crab on the menu, I was immediately disgusted. I resigned myself to e mediocre evening filled with disappointment. I was DELIGHTED to be wrong. If you avoid the gross fake crab, everything else was excellent. The Chef Omakase was beautiful, good quality, and delicious. Allan at the sushi bar was talented and engaging. He took time to answer my questions and did so with real warmth. Can't wait to go back!
One of the best experiences I have had in a while. We came for my daughter's 8th birthday, and they went above and beyond with the service. The food itself was incredible. The sushi was delicious! I recommend the shishito peppers as a starter, they were so flavorful. There was a professional photographer coming around the tables to capture the special memories which we enjoyed as well. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again. Thank you, Hanagi!
