We ate at Hanagi inside the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel and it was a really nice surprise. The hotel is quiet and pretty, sowas already sets a good mood before you even sit down. Dinner was great and the staff was super attentive without hovering. The photo service at the end was actually awesome and the picture came out really flattering.

I don't recommend coming here for sushi. It was fresh, but lacked flavor. Not worth it for the price. The California roll has too much mayo. The wait was way too long, although the server did say they were understaffed. I had to send the same roll back twice due to an avocado allergy. However, the server was very apologetic.

If you know good sushi dont go here. Best rating i can give it. Better than grocery store sushi but not better than the local spot that sells u 5 dollars rolls. No flavor and california roll has way too much mayonnaise in it. Scallops were sub par and staff have rough communication issues between eachother. Atmosphere means nothing when you cant enjoy the food! Learn n do better hanagi or lower ur prices to match the grocery store quality.

The aesthetics were very basic including the hotel, and the food was good but not for the value. Service was great. The one plate I would recommend is the wagyu steak and shrimp.

Wow wow wow! We were looking for sushi within a walk from our hotel and found this gem! I was so impressed and so happy with this decision! Jose, our server, was phenomenal! So helpful with wonderful recommendations! Highly recommend for a wonderful, classy experience!

Love coming to Hanagi for a nice dinner. The food is always super high quality. I especially love the black cod nigiri, but everything else is also amazing. The service is always great.
Food was--fresh sashimi and some comes from Japan. It's weird in a western medieval hotel.

The food is good but very disappointed with the service. They were struggling to accommodate big group which is fair whilst they’re trying their best. But it shows incompetencies in basic serving. They didn’t check which items they already served or not. We ended up missing 4 items that we ordered and we had waited so long for our food. They kept saying it will come soon but they didn’t even know what’s coming. Which is silly. When asked about the ordered menu they said it’s ready then why don’t serve it? Totally lost my appetite and ended up just leaving the foods. Please improve this.

the service took a long time. Many of our dishes didn’t come, so we had to complain to the staff ourselves. The staff showed no initiative in handling the issue.

We had a wonderful experience at Hanagi last night. Everyone's food was delicious and we enjoyed the semi private table setup, but most of all the staff was fantastic! We had let our server know we were in a little bit of a hurry to catch the shuttle and he made sure our food came out promptly. Would 100% recommend and plan to return in the future!
