My favorite venue to see shows! So quick to get in, it's clean, and the food is great!

Came to a show here for the first time in a while, and I cannot believe this stupid new policy (that their employees tried to convince me had been in place since the move from downtown Disney which is definitely not true) of shutting down 1/3 of the downstairs and the ENTIRE upstairs section for VIP is legal within the fire code. The fact that it’s HOB VIP, not artist VIP, and downstairs is $150 for a seat on a bar under the overhang and upstairs is $250, is disgusting. This leads to what’s left of the GA section being packed to the brim, with everyone shoved up against each other all the way to the walls, and is just asking for a dangerous crowd crush situation to happen at this point.
House of Blues should be ashamed of themselves for their attempts to upcharge an already expensive outing, by forcing scarcity and gaslighting customers. I will be reporting this to the fire marshal, as there’s no way this new policy stays in line with their capacity limits when they shut down half the venue itself to the general public.

Had the chance to visit the house of Blues while in Anahiem California for a tradeshow. This is probably the 4th or 5th time I have been to thus venue in thr past few years. Great little spot to walk to from our hotel and plenty of surrounding places. We got to see the band The Killers while we were there and it was great.
The venue is really big and plenty of room for an aging event. Looking forward to being back in Anaheim for this same event in 2 more years.

Excited to see OMD after 37 years as the opening group for DM Music for the Masses/101 Rose Bowl 1988.
Richard Blade being there was a highlight flashback to classic KROQ. Hadn't seen him in a longtime.
Overall being there first time since your move from Downtown Disney. Set up was the same. Figure stage could of been wider, not so crammed.
Not sure who was responsible for the effect screen behind OMD. Disappointing. If it's OMD, expected sharp graphics or even Pretty in Pink shots flashing during song. Blurry graphics were like amature design with no effort.
Opening group expected better. No excitement. Clutter of covered OMD equipment gave very little space. Voice was pitchy.
Would I go again? Depends on group. Who is the opening group. Midway 100% wouldn't.
Now I see the layout is the same. Had upper seats for the Furs. Probably go with upper seats again if cost was reasonable. $300 upgrade from GA. Passed.
Would I recommend to others? Basically tell them above and let them make their own decision.

This place is awful if you are at a full show. There’s not enough room for all the people they let in and the use the upstairs vip section to increase their capacity. Also, they said doors open at 6 and doors opened at 6:45 (7:20 for general seating) 1 1/2 hours to get in.

The venue itself was good. The only issue i have with this place is the fact they added a tip for themselves on my transaction. I really did not have enough money to tip the day i went so today when i get a added charge for a tip i was really confused. I loved the place but adding a tip when i didnt leave one is crazy. I wouldve tipped had i had the money and now my balance has gone into a negative just from that.
