Nice brunch place that has the classics and specialities, with a Filipino and even American trendy brunch style twist, but at slightly lower to comparable prices to other brunch spots.Everything we tried was done perfectly, I especially loved the Birria chilaquiles ($18, not too bad a price for being a huge, shareable portion). We liked the ube cold brew ($7) and even the regular hot coffee (only $3) was very good, as was the ube horchata ($4).The online waitlist is a nice feature, we joined the waitlist on the way over around 9:30 a.m. on a Sunday and were seated immediately

Little hidden gem of Anaheim! This is a great place for a brunch! As soon as we walked in to this wonderful place,we were greeted with a Smile by Rochelle. The food was excellent! We ordered the Silog breakfast bowl with Longanisa & Adobo rice omelette. The Dirty Ube cold brew was refreshing. The Ube Tres LecheFrench toast is out of this world! We love their Filipino displays, the painting of Lola with the grandchild kissing her hand.We also liked the Bulletin Board with Tagalog translation. There was a lot of respect shown inside this restaurantWe would highly recommend this place!

came for the oc restaurant week, and their deal was amazing. Most of all though, their allergy awareness is among the best I have ever seen. Not only do they handle it well, they communicate it well, so you know they know how to make sure your food is safe.Vegetarian options: I bet the servers could help you out.Dietary restrictions: As mentioned, among the best I have experienced.Parking: oodlesKid-friendliness: they had Hey Arnold on and children's books in the bathroomWheelchair accessibility: looked accessible, but the bathroom might be tough.

Hours on Google are incorrect. Came on a Thursday 8PM, only to find the establishment closed when it dictates that they are open until 10PM.Drove an hour to be disappointed for such a common mistake.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new Filipino spot last night. Our go-to's are : Sea Food City and Terrace by Mix Mix. We love these spots because it reminds me of naynay's cooking, they do not use too much oil (most Filipino Restaurants do), and the price you pay for the amount of food you get is a great deal!Despite these being our go-to Filipino spots, they are out of the way. We prefer dining in at home most of the time - especially during our movie nights. Seeing that this place had over 200 reviews and almost a 5 star was a good first impression for us! Not only that, it was just 10 minutes away.I called to place a to go order last night. Before I placed the order, I wanted to verify with them that I was paying cash. Most places nowadays are cashless - or - don't even take large bills. Whoever I spoke with over the phone confirmed that it was okay. So, we proceeded with our order. After we listed what we wanted, she verified my form of payment a few more times. We had to verify this more than the order itself.Upon arriving, the way they decorated the restaurant was really homie-like and welcoming. I was greeted warmly by the hostess who later got replaced by another staff member. This might've been the person I spoke with over the phone. I handed her my $100 that I needed to break - which we disclosed over the phone. I felt like I was being characterized as a "shady character" by her. She was not welcoming like the hostess.First impressions really do matter especially for a restaurant. I was really turned off with my interaction when I was paying. I wanted to give them business to help them grow, break my $100 and just find a new Filipino spot for us. I get that someone from the past might've given them a fake hundred dollar bill, but come on. I've worked in the retail and restaurant business when I was younger. You do not want to frickin' look smug or rude when someone uses a big bill like that. She also could've had an off day, fine. I've had those like the other billions of people on this planet. *You do not show your unpleasant mood towards your customers ESPECIALLY if they are new.*I paid over $60 for 2 entrees, 2 sinangags, and lumpia. The pricing could be altered to be more reasonable. I paid less for higher quality food at other restaurants. Listen, if you do not have a tita, tito, lola, etc. in your life that knows* how to cook authentic Filipino dishes, this place would be an immediate 5 star. I don't see my mom often, so finding places that can cook like her means a lot to me. I'm sure other people from around the world could say the same thing. The food was oily and they could've used cheap oil because it hurt both of our stomachs. You might as well go to Pinoy Pam's best and eat there since their food quality are the same. They have something going on. Just a few things to alter and they'll be set.

Lola's by MFK: Filipino Feast Fit for a Royalty (or Just Hungry Me!)Yelpers, gather 'round and listen up! If you're craving a taste of the Philippines that's bursting with flavor and warmth, Lola's by MFK in Anaheim is your new royal court (or should I say, "puso" palace?). My taste buds are still doing a jig after my recent visit, so let me spill the delicious tea:Food that Sings to Your Soul:Lola's doesn't play around when it comes to Filipino cuisine. They dish up classics with a modern twist, leaving you both comforted and surprised. My Chicken Adobo was a revelation - the tangy, garlicky sauce clung to the tender chicken like a long-lost lover, sending shivers (of the good kind) down my spine. And the Lechon Kawali? Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and begging for every dunk in that vinegar dip.Beyond the Popular Picks:But Lola's isn't all about the hits. Don't miss their Pancit Hab Hab, a stir-fried noodle dish with shrimp, pork, and veggies that's spicy enough to wake up your senses without setting your mouth on fire. And for something truly unique, try the Sisig Kangkong, crispy water spinach topped with pork and a fried egg - trust me, it's an umami bomb you won't soon forget.Atmosphere that Feels Like Home:The warm hues and homey décor at Lola's make you feel instantly welcome. It's like stepping into your Lola's kitchen, even if the only thing you bake is burnt cookies (no judgment!). The staff is friendly and attentive, ready to answer your questions about the menu or just share a smile.A Few Notes for Your Royal Visit:Parking can be tight, so try street parking or the nearby lot.Reservations are recommended, especially for weekends and holidays.Bring your appetite - the portions are generous!Share your dishes family-style and try a bit of everything - that's how Filipino feasts are meant to be enjoyed!Final Verdict:Lola's by MFK is a gem in the Filipino food scene. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience. From the heartwarming atmosphere to the explosion of flavors on your plate, Lola's will make you feel like royalty, even if your budget is more "commoner." So grab your royal chopsticks (or fork, no judgment again!), and head to Lola's for a feast fit for a king (or queen, or just hungry you!).Rating: 4.75 out of 5 stars

We put ourselves on the online waitlist which def helped us kill time instead of waiting outside. The restaurant itself is pretty small - but they were super accommodating to us as we had two strollers!! Food was good - we got the silogs, very generous portions! I did enjoy the Ube French Toast! It's a good comfort brunch spot when you need something filling!

?Bangus Sisig? was a winner! The vinegar marinade was so good, and no bones in the milkfish, so it was easy to shovel in either sinangag (garlic fried rice). Also enjoyed the Longsilog (longanisa sausage with fried egg and garlic fried rice) and adobo omelette. Calamansi mimosa was delicious. But coming back for sure for that Sisig dish!

Absolutely delicious! A group of us came to enjoy some Filipino breakfast on New Year's Day, and I'm glad we did. The wait time was a longer than expected but after we got seated the food came out pretty quickly. As for the flavors, I was very pleased with the ube horchata and the ube pancakes!! Wow! It was very good. I don't like runny yolks, so I asked for my egg over hard and it came out great! I really enjoyed my food, as did my friends and family. It's definitely kid/baby friendly, they have high chairs and willl accommodate accordingly if you have a stroller. The music playing was low and catchy, not too loud to distract from conversations. I really like the modern decor with the hanging lanterns, the chalkboard to learn Tagalog, the greenscape wall, and the gorgeous "mano" mural. Overall, very cool and authentic place. My Filipino husband approves and would take his Lola and mom. Also, tip included for large parties. Check it out if you're in town.

There were quite a few people on the wait-list, but we got seated pretty quickly. There is only a small seating area where you can wait, otherwise you kind of just stand around the area or wait in your car. Once seated, our server came over right away and was very nice and patient as we asked questions about the menu. All of the food came out quite hot still and everything was very tasty. The only thing we didn't love was that the French toast came out at the same time as our savory food... Soo by the time we dug into it, it was a pretty soggy dish unfortunately. Towards the end of our meal, it got kinda difficult to flag down or server to get the bill.... Overall though, we enjoyed the food there and would like to come but and try more of their dishes!

Been here many times for breakfast/brunch and it's always super satisfying. My favorite dishes are: Bang-Silog and Bangus Sisig. Recently, we also tried the Loco Moco -- it is delicious -- and the Adobo Fried Rice Omelette. I don't have a sweet palate but thoroughly enjoyed the Ube Pancakes. Not only were they not overly sweet, but the texture is so fluffy and light. If you have a palate for sweet beverages, the Ube Horchata might be your thing!

Ordered Lechon Manok via doordash and paid $19 for it. This was NOT lechon manok. It came with a few FRIED pieces and a scoop of hard white rice. The sauce was some kind if creamy weird tangy sauce. Tasted it and threw it out cuz it was nasty! An order of pancit was $15. It was greasy, hard, and very salty. Plus no veggies! Only garnished with veggies. Will definitely not be ordering here again.

Cute little spot walking distance from the Grove. Went on a Thursday evening around 6pm and they were nice enough to put the football game on!Service- 5/5Server was very sweet and polite and attentive, and was helpful in answering questions we had about the drinks/foodFood-4/5Pancit was amazing and flavorful. waitress recommended jt to go along wjth the lechon (instead of rice) and it was delicious!!!lechon- the fried pork skjn was perfect. portion is small, appetizer for two people. most pieces were tender but a couple drier ones (hence 4 not 5) ambiance-4/5its a cute small place. they had a musician setting up as we were leaving. love the cultural touches and signs!wish they had wine on the menu but i enjoyed the mimosa (a few juice options, i got my juice on the side).pricing was great especially because it was happy hour prices that day. Highly recommend if you're in the area! I'd return.
