Very very very delicious but very small plate. For 21$ walking out hungry is not good. Its the Hawaiian bbq with less quantity and most expensive ive been.

It was my first time going there to eat and was very disappointed. Went to the cashier and the older lady didn't even acknowledge we were there. ordered a chicken meal that came with rice and macaroni. The chicken was so dry it was difficult to swallow. I don't understand how this place has its previous reviews.

Poor customer service, overpriced cheap food, no hello or thank you or a smile.
Once and done type place.

Matiki Island BBQ is a fantastic spot for mouthwatering island-inspired barbecue! The food was absolutely delicious, every bite was bursting with authentic flavor and cooked to perfection. It is the kind of meal that gets you excited to come back for more.

The ambience was laid-back and inviting, a perfect match for the flavorful dishes they serve. However, the staff felt a little off during our visit, not as welcoming as we had hoped. With a bit more enthusiasm and warmth from the team, this place would undoubtedly hit five stars..

Delicious food at great prices! Our entire family enjoys coming here, and the Big Kahuna is our go-to—it has a little bit of everything, which makes it perfect for sharing. The flavors are authentic, and every bite takes you straight to Hawaii. Hands down, the best Island style Hawaiian food we’ve had!

Got the big kahuna plate. The BBQ and grilled meats were alright. The spam musubi is where it's at though.

Never had Hawaiian BBQ this good. Gotta try their beef back ribs(Sam’s Plate). Nice, balanced flavor and meaty for a reasonable price. This is not your average run of the mill Hawaiian BBQ like Ono…more unique and authentic.

A must try! Maybe I’ll try the kalbi ribs next time.

We took a trip to Disney and wanted to check this spot out. My actual rating for is 3.8 out of 5. We arrived and the atmosphere is simple & clean , of course there was island decor on the walls. Aunty who was our cashier she was nice-ish lol. IYKYK! I liked the plate I ordered just wished the short ribs and the Teri beef had a different marinade, don’t get me wrong it was still good ,but given two different meats (& this is just my opinion) I would have preferred a different flavor for each meat. However I know ppl love that marinade so I get it. I was not a fan of the Mac salad ( I just prefer regular Mac salad ( they had it with potatoes & it was ok.)
My husband got the beef rib plate and man those buggahs are nice and big and loved how they tasted. We are from San Diego so if I ever go back I would definitely buy that plate again ?. Musubi was cool, also just fyi if ppl are going to this location for the musubi on their IG pg , served w/ Mac salad in it.) they don’t sell that one there only regular.
Order the panipopo I liked it , the sua (the coconut sauce.) was delicious, My husband on the other hand he wasn’t feeling the Bread/bun it comes with.
Last but not least we got a dole whip float ( that was nice, I don’t like artificial coconut flakes so that was my fault I didn’t know it comes topped with that cause you can ask them to not put that on there.)
Free Parking is shared in the plaza with other business.

One of my Top favorite restaurants. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I would go more often if I lived closer to them.
