I absolutely loved this. Just the way once you enter the building till you reach the cockpit is so good. You really feel like you are on the spaceship. Once inside it was very fun: you have to cooperate with your mates to fight and shoot down the enemies while being directed. It was a bit confusing at times as the instructions were given very fast and no time to understand exactly what you are supposed to do. Still we had so much fun.
This ride can be a lot of fun with kids of the right age... Try to get them in the pilot and gunner positions, leaving adults to take the engineer seats.
I actually enjoy this ride more than Rise of the Resistance next door!
Have to temper my rating a bit b/c this ride was one that broke down for a time while we were queuing for it -- one of the many, many rides that did so on our recent day in the park.

My family loves this ride. You actually affect the experience with your piloting, gunning, or engineering. I would give it a 4.25 if possible, but the only reasons it loses points are
a. The line doesn't have as much entertainment outside of the two very fun holding areas. So there are long stretches where antsy kids may struggle. But it's Disneyland so obviously lines are a given. More importantly
b. The 6 crew members really do impact the experience....
