The food and service was fine, nothing to write home about, if anything slightly below average for the price. The plates didn’t look or feel clean. The strangest request by one of the waitress was that we couldn’t take the kimchi we had already eaten with our leftovers, this was the initial kimchi they had dropped at the table when we came in, not a refill. Odd to want to increase food waste.

Immediately sat down, served kimchi and water. Took our orders right away. Asked for chopsticks so I can try the kimchi while I waited. They told us the hidden drawer with utensils. I forgot about those....
We ordered:
Pan fried dumplings
Pork dumplings (steamed)
Spicy Knife Cut Noodles in Chicken Broth
Regular Knife Cut Noodles in Chicken Broth
There were four of us.
Food came out and it was incredible. Pan fried dumplings were so good. The pork dumplings were so good too. Honestly best mandus I've had.
Knife cut Noodles were delicious. The kimchi is star of the show. They serve the most spicy garlicky kimchi. And then white kimchi. Honestly still wishing I took jars home. Note: you can't take leftover kimchi home.

Honestly, I feel that Myeongdong Kyoja tastes a hundred times better here in the U.S. than at the original Seoul location. It’s so delicious that I could eat it every day! The service is excellent, everything is super clean and well-organized, and the food feels fresh and refined. I truly wish we had one in my neighborhood—that would be a dream come true.

One of the best parts of this visit was the service. The staff were very quick and friendly, which definitely deserves high praise. However, compared to before, the food portion and taste didn’t seem to improve. Since the broth was chicken-based, it had a slight chicken smell that I didn’t really enjoy. Also, the noodles were not handmade, and the extra $5 charge felt too expensive. After finishing the meal, the portion still felt a bit small, which was disappointing. In the end, restaurants that serve generous portions tend to do well, and I wish this place would consider that.

At least they gave a small bowl of rice for free, which made me feel a little less hungry.

As a Korean I have a tip: When you sit down and right away they bring out this type of red saucy kimchi?

You’ve come to the right place. Mad good kalguksoo and dumplings.

🍜 Went for the spicy knife-cut noodles loaded with veggies and squid, and they did not disappoint. The noodles were thick, the broth had that perfect spicy kick, and the veggies stayed crisp. The seafood added just the right touch without overpowering the flavor.

And the dumplings? Still can’t get over how huge they are—plus the portions here are no joke. Come hungry because they serve you a lot. Easily the biggest, juiciest wontons I’ve ever had.

🧑‍💼👩‍💼 Service: Quick, friendly, and the food came out piping hot.

This place is sooo good! We ordered the spicy noodle, which I think is number 12 on the menu, the pork and shrimp pork shrimp, and the beef galbi. We’ll definitely keep ordering these on future visits because they balance carbs and protein—there are lots of noodles but almost no protein besides half an egg. So if you’re a gym guy like me, that’s something to consider. One thing I want to call out is the kimchi—it’s sooooo fireeee! My family, who visited South Korea, said this kimchi is almost as good as the original kimchi there. Plus, this place isn’t crowded yet, unlike many other restaurants, so we didn’t have to wait. The price is also very affordable, around $20–30 per person.

Korean women are incredibly unfriendly. The assistant servers there are more friendly and kind. It's a Korean store, so I can't understand.

Their service was horrible. The to-go order was poorly prepared and took way too long to be ready.

I think I received the best service in this area. The food was delicious, but sometimes even great food can lose its charm due to poor service. However, tonight’s dinner here was truly enjoyable thanks to the wonderful service. I hope the person who worked today gets a lot of praise from the owner. The place was clean, and the kimchi was outstanding.
