Revised review: Dined here several times through a stay at Marriott for convenience, though the first two experiences almost led me not to come back. Food is overpriced but is good quality and consistent. Wait staff is pretty consistently stretched, probably in part because of their open seating policy in pool/bar area. First time there, the waitress was trying REALLY hard, but she was run ragged and definitely had more customers than she could handle. Sat around an extra 15 minutes...
We had appetizers only, and they were substantial. The meatballs and the shrimp dishes were very tasty, but my favorites were the lollipop lamb chops and the tortilla soup. The wine list isn't huge, but it probably contains something for everyone (also: a bit pricey). Staff is excellent.
Been coming to this bar for years during Wondercon and each time I hope for improvements.
Positives: Great beer selection, good food variety, friendly staff, and a pleasing bar look.
I realize the servers need to get outside for their customers but is another way to get there? Everytime that door opens, blasts of cold air rush in chilling customers and food. It also can't be good for the health of the bar staff.
