We usually order from here cause its convenient and the actuall restaurant is in LA.Lately, it seems theyve gotten really lazy. Ordered fried chicken and it was way over cooked and dry. So much that my 4yr old couldnt eat it. Chicken sandwhich was missing pickles and was cut into strips.Very disappointed. Plus on top waiting over 1 hr from the time it said it would be ready. I expected better quality for the price.

I placed a prepaid catered order from this location for my sons engagement and the food was never prepared! I received a text confirming the food would be delivered on time. I called the restaurant and management refused to speak with me. I had to run and get pizza at the last minute for the hungry guests. Unacceptable! Contacting corporate.

Excellent chicken thighs, and excellent chicken legs. The breast was clearly from an old batch and was awful. I would have overlooked it, but it took, 57 minutes from when we placed the order to when we picked it up. We placed the order on premises, and sat in the car.....idling, for 57 minutes. That's flat out unacceptable. The lady kept saying it was coming out, after we started asking after about twenty five minutes.We really wanted Pollo Campero after flying in to Santa Ana, and so we were super excited for it and it ruined the experience. We'll never go back, for fear we'll pay for a quarter tank of gas again!
I ordered the Campero Chicken Sandwich, Yuca Fries, Campero Beans, 2 Empanadas, soda and cookie from the Pollo Campero app on iOS from the Anaheim Digital Kitchen. Sorry I have no photos. I don't know what the bad reviews are for. I had the perfect experience. You will have to take my word for it. I wouldn't have written a review this epic If it wasn't all true. I was very, very impressed with my food, portions, and customer service from the toll free number in the app. Portions were huge. The chicken filet was probably the biggest filet I've ever had on any chicken sandwich I've had ever. It was all hot to the touch and the actual chicken was all real chicken. It didn't appear to have any fillers or anything like that. It was almost twice the size and deliciousness of a chick-fil-a sandwich, and I'm not exaggerating! If you've ever had Yuca fries you know how delicious they are. Yuca is kassava in North America. It is a delicious vegetable that works perfectly as a French fry. The fries were so hot and salted perfectly, not overly salted. Beans were delicious! With chunks of meat in them I would compare them to a really good southern baked beans. They have a very savory flavor. Empanadas were cooked perfectly and were so delicious! Golden fried and crispy. Mmm! Even the cookie was great! I feel like it was made to order. I would order everything again. Nothing I didn't like here. I recommend this place wholeheartedly and I will be back soon within the month. The app was easy to use, thorough, and picking up was a breeze. They have tablets set up for check-in and they text you if it isn't ready yet, and put the food for pick up in a locker. Very cool. The man on the toll free number was very sincere and customer service was awesome. I think his name was Carlos. Thank you team!

Avoid. At all costs Ordered about $60 worth of food Showed up at this weird Amazon locker situation. Checked in at kiosk/ipad. Said I would get a test when order was ready Waited. Waited. Waited. Finally asked about my order. Lady said she has no record of it. Showed her my texts saying I was checked in. She seemed indifferent Called pollo campero. Guy didn't speak English What a crap show

It's upsetting when you order and are given a specific time the food will be ready. You show up and you have to wait half an hour for it.What's the point of ordering in advanced then?Just check YELP before you order they have only one star!!!When I got my food it came with squeeze packets of Cholula.... Seriously!? For this price I would expect at least some real salsa. Did I mention it was 3 packets for a whole family meal!?Lastly, pieces of the Chicken were Burnt and tasted like liquid smoke.And they forgot my empanadas!Really poor service and a poor experience never again.

Be prepared to wait. Our 12 piece family meal took 50 min from ordering at the kiosk to pickup.I would not have waited 50 min for a take away order, and I wish there was a warning beforehand for how long the food will take to prepare. Additionally, from the kiosk it is unclear how to order grilled and fried chicken - we were disappointed that our mixed order was only fried chicken after an almost hour wait.The digital platform is nice in theory, but in execution there are still many issues to work out.
