Small cute business. I purchased a small fish and a medium bowl of tsro leavesixed with coconut milk and pork. Paid close to $20 for the 2 items. I think its very overpriced.

A hole in the wall type Filipino food joint with minimum seating. This place has a very mom & pop feel to it. Don't come here with a date and expect to get lucky... come for their food instead! Very generous portions and they got the traditional Filipino foods hot and ready to go.

I was in the area and came across this place. I ordered the smoked fish and a meat dish with rice. The dish was tasty and flavorful. You can't beat the price either. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Still one of the best values for Filipino food if you're coming from the beach areas of The OC. I discovered this place a long time ago while looking for a closer alternative to the famous Magic Wok (now Crispy House) crispy pata. At the time Sawali Grill's version was the closest. There are other items offered at this place which I favored, lechon kawali, beef kaldereta, bicol express, pork sisig, grilled liempo etc. The crispy pata is what draws me in all the time. The skin is crisp and the meat, very tender. As always, I order it "no chop." That keeps it warm on the way back home. And I always ask for vinegar instead of the standard liver sauce they always provide.Lately though I noticed a difference in the quality of the crispy pata. The skin is sometimes burnt in some areas. Besides that little variance, the taste is the same. Crispy skin as always and still a cost effective and closer alternative than driving all the way to Norwalk.Oh, and yes .. they are closed on Mondays as customary to most Filipino restaurants and yes, there is a surcharge for using a credit card for payment, customary cultural habit also!

Parking: There are parking spaces right in front of the restaurant. This place is located in a strip mall so there is a huge parking lot if none of the spaces in front are available.

Sawali Grill’s crispy pata is good, lots of food selection, some are a little salty. Lady cashier is really nice.

2022-May, party of 3.We arrived around 1pm on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of parking at the front of the store. This facility is a buffet. Good selections of Filipino food. 1 entree with white rice is about $8, 2 entrees with white rice is about $10. We ordered 1 2-entree, 2 1-entree, 1 side order of pansit, 1 small Leche flan, cantaloupe drink and 2 soda cans, and our total was $48.All the food were tasty. My son loved the pork BBQ. The cantaloupe drink & leche flan was good too!The facility was clean and have few tables and chairs for dine-in.Bon Appétit!

I frequent this outstanding restaurant often since I enjoy the special air that is unique to this place. The crew is very loyal and well trained. The service is extremely efficient. Also, the food they serve is excellent. I ate there more than once and I was always delighted. The cost is modest. I recommend this place to all my friends.
