Just had our first of many visits we will be having in this Sawali Pilipino Restaurant. My husband is really in food, and He is not Filipino, but he really loves this food, the pancit and skewer, and the steam rice is perfect. He said he had pancit and skewer before, but this one is the best! #SawaliGrillRestaurant at Knott and Ball road st.

Food: taste is subparNot coming back. I would rather have canned food - spam, corned beef - than make the 5-minute drive to this place.

This is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that has great, fresh, delicious foods. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and organized. I really enjoyed the sisig, it was zesty and scrumptious. This is where you go for excellent takeout.

A hole in the wall type Filipino food joint with minimum seating. This place has a very mom & pop feel to it. Don't come here with a date and expect to get lucky... come for their food instead! Very generous portions and they got the traditional Filipino foods hot and ready to go.

My mom and I finally tried this place when we were out shopping early. The portions were huge for the price. We had their Pancit, bbq pork, lechon which is not pictures anymore as we both ate it so quickly. Their food is delicious and they were very sweet and helpful in answering our questions. Even though they have seating available it's quite a small place. But it worth's a try and great for a take home. That's where I noticed their business was from to go orders. We will be back.

I was in the area and came across this place. I ordered the smoked fish and a meat dish with rice. The dish was tasty and flavorful. You can't beat the price either. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Food is good. The flavor is there but unfortunately we came in later in the day so the food was sitting there for hours. I wish we came in during lunch when the food is fresh. I'll definitely try the Sisig and Caldereta again. The shanghai was nice and crispy. The service is great. She's very nice. The lady gave us a big portion for a combo!

The food was okay. Not bad not great. Not too much flavorful. When I got there it was empty and I left it was packed. The line goes move super slow. The pancit was had zero flavor. The smoke fish was good pinakbet ehhhh. 3 out of 5 overall experience

Still one of the best values for Filipino food if you're coming from the beach areas of The OC. I discovered this place a long time ago while looking for a closer alternative to the famous Magic Wok (now Crispy House) crispy pata. At the time Sawali Grill's version was the closest. There are other items offered at this place which I favored, lechon kawali, beef kaldereta, bicol express, pork sisig, grilled liempo etc. The crispy pata is what draws me in all the time. The skin is crisp and the meat, very tender. As always, I order it "no chop." That keeps it warm on the way back home. And I always ask for vinegar instead of the standard liver sauce they always provide.Lately though I noticed a difference in the quality of the crispy pata. The skin is sometimes burnt in some areas. Besides that little variance, the taste is the same. Crispy skin as always and still a cost effective and closer alternative than driving all the way to Norwalk.Oh, and yes .. they are closed on Mondays as customary to most Filipino restaurants and yes, there is a surcharge for using a credit card for payment, customary cultural habit also!Parking: There are parking spaces right in front of the restaurant. This place is located in a strip mall so there is a huge parking lot if none of the spaces in front are available.

Sawali Grill’s crispy pata is good, lots of food selection, some are a little salty. Lady cashier is really nice.

Very expensive here. 60$ for four combos with drinks because of too much hidden add ons. Food doesn't taste good.Be aware of using your card here because our card got double charge too. Two separate bad experiences. Never coming back as in ever lol.

A post work stop over to get dinner last night Mind you prices for food everywhere have gone up, this place included. But in order to keep this place open we have to support them. If not place like these will be a needle in a haystack.
