This place is cool ! Nice people , and the service is good a different option of food .
It's a small place and the menu is different now from before. Check their website not the pictures here.
The taste wasn't there, bland. Did not finish. The sauce wasn't portioned correctly and was just a ball in the middle. Same as my friend's ume one; the ume was just one big thing in the middle instead of spread out.
The order machine was in an odd place and the people that worked there seemed almost scared of us and avoided eye contact. I wouldn't want the open window while I'm working either.
Totally different ramen flavor from the original restaurants
I stopped by this place for a quick lunch, the sushi wrap is pretty interesting, there are a lot of different options. The guy was very nice and helpful. I got the combo with the rice sandwich and the spicy Hakata. It was nice to eat it outdoors. The rice sandwich tasted good, a little smaller than I expected. But the ramen was really just so so. It didn't taste like fresh soup more like a premade frozen type. The noodle amount was very small too.
Honestly I was extremely disappointed in the food. I have had shin sen gumi in Irvine and the food is amazing! I know that other locations are equally as good so I thought this place would be perfect since it’s 1) local to me and 2) a to go location for convenience.
Unfortunately the broth lacked flavor and the body of it was just not what I have always experienced at the other locations. The Sam’s club tonkatsu ramens seem to have more flavor than what I ate here. I don’t usually send bad reviews but this was honestly so underwhelming that I hope to help anyone else who has also went into the restaurant with a great experience and wanting to try this to-go location.
Service was okay and the location is great for outside dining. Just overall not a great experience to ever return.
Ramen is mediocre.
Ordered dine in and received to go containers.
Had to prepare it myself, if that’s how it is then alright, forget I said it. I mean it is called a 2Go Place so I’ll give it that, and got my order in less than 10 minutes.
I asked how long it takes them to prepare the broth, employee said 30 minutes. Makes sense it tasted like tomato vegetable broth, not pork or beef stock.
Pork was bland. Dunno how it was prepared.
Soft boiled eggs are an additional 3.5 more.
Go to the Good Fish in Placentia for great Ramen.
If this is a better place for different dish and not ramen, please let me know.

The portions are big but that doesn’t take away from quality! It’s also big on flavor! There’s outdoor seating and nearby coffee shops if you want to pair your food. I totally suggest checking it out!

This use to be my favorite place to eat but now but they seemed to switch out their menu for rice sandwiches. No more ramen or udon or yakitori. I hope the owners will change it back eventually cause I miss their old menu

The name of the place had ramen and yakitori in it.... Guess what they don't sell anymore...yup
I loved this place. There was good food here. However, I can't find any food I like anymore.
I tried a rice sandwich, but it was not my favorite.
I miss the curries and ramen I used to eat from the Shinsengumi.

(Updated) I went to Okayama next door and it seemed like they were making and selling kimbap (?) (previous review). I tried takoyaki. It tasted good, but they didn't even give me a napkin and put the hot food right in a plastic container, which made me feel a little uncomfortable because I was worried about environmental hormones. Paper. I should have installed it at least... I need more effort.
