Great fish and chips at the Packing District Food Hall!The fish and chips were hot and crispy and came out quickly.The value is great here - 1 piece combo was a good size portion of fish, and you can order a beer/cider with the combo.The food hall has lots of great options, live music, and free parking... the only thing that can be tough is finding a table (especially with a large group).Bathrooms on the bottom floor.

A good choice for some battered fish . Ordered the Family meal - seafood style ( calamari rings / shrimp / 5 pieces of fish / bed of fries ) - wife and i ate like kings and queens. Food was hot and delish , fish flaky and good / large shrimp. Add malted vinegar and tartar and you are good to go. Only con - Was the fountain drinks . Soda Flavor was off - no biggie as i can buy a can from the schwarma guy next door. Other than that - excellent

I think the fish and chips here are excellent, but the service is 0/5. It is honestly really unfortunate because the fish and chips are huge for a fair price, but I dread going up the to counter everytime, because the same dark haired lady for years is so rude and unkind. She takes a very long time to come out to take the order in the first place, maybe she is also the cook? But always comes out with a bad attitude, to the degree where it is genuinely unpleasent doing buisness here. I've eaten here +5 times since they opened and everytime its the same girl and same bad service, the only thing that had me coming back was the food, but after this last time I'm over it. I noticed that there are other Chippy's in OC that I can go to and the Packing House is too competitive to put up with objectively bad service.

Wanted for service, lady turned around several times and didn't come to take my order. She wasn't doing anything, just talking to her coworker about what she did last night. Didn't say ANYTHING turned around and went back to talking.Honestly if I was a different race, I'm sure they would've jumped to help me.Lost a customer permanently..

Good food. The gal behind the counter was terrible! She was so rude! Slamming down things, throwing food in the trash. I could see the other employees were visibly frightened and uncomfortable. The most unprofessional behavior I've ever seen! I will never go back there.

I love me some fish and chips but this place was not it. The batter was extremely thick and it was pretty bland. The fish was flakey and moist but again, very bland. There are better options in my opinion at the Packing District.

Rolling your eyes at me because I said my order was Togo after you prepared it for here.That's not my fault you forgot plus I asked politely. I never once was loud or rude, rather I was kind and your customer service made me so uncomfortable. Also rolling your eyes again because I wanted 3 ranch and not 2 because I had 2 orders of fries and instead you said no only 2! I couldn't even pay for a third That's seriously crazy, I paid for the food, plus your condiments are small. That's crazy rude! Why would I want to ever eat at a place with terrible customer service! Never again!.
I ordered delivery through their website. I received everything except for the hush puppies I ordered. I called back to ask for a refund on what wasn't delivered. The lady was very rude on the phone and said she was unable to refund the order In her system. She told I could come down and get them. I didn't pay all of the delivery fees to have to chase my order or my money back. The fish was actually pretty good. The chips were soggy and not the best. Overall I would repeat as the food I actually received was pretty good, but with how rude the worker was on the phone and the fact They charged me for items I didn't receive and basically stole my money because "their system didn't work" will make sure I never order from here again.

Calamari is pretty good but I didn't really like the cocktail sauce. It was almost like a ketchup. A marinara sauce would have been amazing.

The breading has absolutely no seasoning or taste whatsoever. The serving size of fish sticks are very large. Unfortunately the fish and breading lack any seasoning or taste. I would not come here again solely for that reason. The breading tastes like a plain unsalted cracker. The fish itself can use some salt & pepper.

I ordered the baby back BBQ ribs. Food was roughly $15-20. Their butter garlic shrimp was very tempting too. Our table also ordered fries to share - great appetizer.

In the packing house upstairs towards the middle, we tried this place to celebrate my wife's bday. I got a chicken and basil sandwhich with no tomatoes. The lady was very nice and took my order right away. There weren't a lot of people in line at this place. I asked her what was on the sandwich, and she told me chicken, basil, mayo, tomatoes, and lettuce. I told her no tomatoes and she completed my order. It came out to about $12, and they didn't even ask for tips, which was nice. When I got the chicken sandwich, overall, it just looked okay. The chicken was a bit dry, and I could hardly taste any basil. What I did taste was the mayo. It seemed like they put two big spoonfuls in the sandwhich. It overpowered the sandwhich and almost made it unedible by the second half. Also, the sandwhich was falling apart.. I don't know if I would get that again. Their fish and chips looked bomb.. I think if they didn't put so much mayo, the sandwhich would have tasted a lot better.
