Five stars for the service as all of the employees are impeccably good at their job. But man oh man, is this place overpriced for such mediocre food. The bread rolls we received before dinner were stale. Got the grass fed filet ($78), asked for medium rare and it came out slight above medium. There is no friggin way I was gonna pay $80 for steak cooked about as well as an Outback Steakhouse lol. Sent it back and they offered to get me something else or recook another steak, but it was a busy night and at that point, I was so thoroughly unimpressed with everything this restaurant had to offer that I just wanted to leave.

This place is just indicative of the current times we’re living in where fine dining has become subpar yet the pricing has not changed, if not more expensive. The chefs really don’t seem to care enough to deliver quality product anymore. Also, the servers and bussers were running around the dining floor at a unsafe and chaotic speed, leading to several times where they would bump into each other; it may not be my place to say this, but they may need to be retrained proper restaurant safety like shouting “corner!” when rounding a blind spot. All in all it made the whole fine dining experience rather anxious.

I just don’t get the hype of this place. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We had dinner reservations on February 28, 2026 and were really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, we were turned away due to the dress code. We respect that restaurants have standards, but after reviewing the posted policy, it does not clearly state that dress shorts are prohibited. The gentleman in our party was wearing tailored dress shorts with a collared shirt, which we believed fit the guidelines.

What was most disappointing was that no alternative seating option (such as outside the main dining room) was offered. We left respectfully, but losing our reservation deposit over what feels like a vague dress code policy was frustrating.

We truly hope management will review this situation and consider making it right. We had high expectations and would love the opportunity to return under better circumstances.

THE RANCH remains a premier destination for a high-end business dinner in Orange County. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated and welcoming, providing an ideal backdrop for professional conversation and exceptional dining.

The Food
We started with the beef carpaccio and artichokes, both of which were incredibly fresh and well-executed. The onion soup followed, offering a rich, classic depth of flavor that set the stage for the main course.

For the entrée, we opted for the NY Steak and the Ribeye, served family-style. Both cuts were cooked to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and charred beautifully. The accompanying sides were highlights:

Parmesan Fries: Crispy and perfectly seasoned.

Mushrooms: Earthy and savory.

Asparagus: Fresh with just the right snap.

Lobster Mac & Cheese: Truly indulgent and packed with generous portions of lobster.

The Drinks
The beverage program is top-tier. The Smoked Old Fashioned provided a fantastic aromatic start to the evening. To complement the steaks, we moved to a bold Italian red, which stood up beautifully to the richness of the Ribeye.

Final Verdict
From the impeccable service to the meticulously prepared dishes, delivered a seamless experience. If you are looking to impress clients or celebrate a successful deal, this is the place to do it.

The food and service were spectacular. They had a great selection of local wines from Napa Valley and the ones we tried were excellent. The steak was delicious and very flavorful. The staff did a great job and made sure everything went well with our meal. We will definitely be going back.

Was our first time dining at the Ranch and let me tell you they over exceeded expectations. We celebrated a friends birthday and so glad we came here. They have an amazing bourbon selection and the food is outstanding large portion ( NY steak is a must have) so that justifies the higher price points, but the meat was perfect, even better our server Sheila made the experience that much better thank you Sheila. Will be back again for another celebration in the near future

We visited The Ranch Restaurant for Valentine’s dinner and the experience was great! From the set menu of various selections to the fabulous wine list, we enjoyed our dinner. We shared the lamb shops, oysters and filet which were all cooked to perfection! The service was the highlight with Jimmy doing an excellent job making our dinner special. Bonus is the “saloon” next door for added music and entertainment.

This place is perfect for a couples night or celebratory dinner. Our 2nd time now- food is consistent and amazing, love the owners specially grown menu.
Only complaint we waited almost a half hour- with already having a reservation on a weekday evening.

We had a great meal. My husband and I split the beet salad which was absolutely delicious! Fresh and nice orange flavor! We loved the almonds in the salad. I had the jadori chicken, he had the pork chop. Both were excellent. The pork chop was the best I’ve can remember ever ordering. Our friends got the tomahawk steak and it looked fantastic! They really enjoyed it. They also ordered the wedge salad and artichoke and said they were excellent as well. We were celebrating two birthdays and an anniversary and they provided two crème brûlées which were wonderful. A beautiful place to experience a special occasion.

Excellent!! We went to celebrate my birthday and the food was absolutely delicious! Our server, Jesus was well versed and very professional in describing all of the menu and very attentive to diet restrictions. Probably one of the best fine dining experiences I enjoyed recently. I had the halibut and it was fantastic and my friends had melt in your mouth filets. The beet salad was also great! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Impressive steakhouse with great food, ambiance and service. Huge portions, and prices to match. Though realizing that obscenely large stakes are their claim to fame, would still have appreciated more options for smaller portions. They do let you share some of the largest steaks, but my co-worker and I had different preferences for doneness. Traveling, could not take the delicious leftovers home...

Service was Epic our server Darsha was very friendly, knowledgeable and her recommendations were the best.

Best steakhouse in Southern California. Interns of food, they offer all the usual but with top notch quality and preparation. Asking from that, they offer a seasonal farm to table menu from ingredients that they grow out at a property close by. Service is great, very attentive. Sommelier suggestions are spot on.

Leah

For value it was not as expected. Great steak but the waitress was less than inviting and overall experience didn't support the cost.

Brooke

Our dining experience at the Ranch was a complete miss. The steak was extremely fatty and lacking flavor. The creamed corn was also very underwhelming. Expected more for the prices that are charged.
