While there are plenty of Michoacanas popping up everywhere, Tocumbo stands out for its freshness and incredible flavors. The milk-based paletas are rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. My personal favorite is the avocado flavor, which is also available as ice cream: so unique and so good! Classic flavors like coconut and pistachio never disappoint, but what really makes this spot special are the rare varieties you won’t find elsewhere. For example:
Gansito: inspired by the beloved Mexican pastry, a mini vanilla cake with strawberry and cream filling, covered in chocolate (think Chocopie with a twist). Buñuelos: reminiscent of churros, with a hint of cinnamon. Mazapán: peanut-flavored marzipan, a nostalgic treat. Chongos Zamoranos: a traditional dessert made from cooked milk and cinnamon, transformed into a delightful ice cream flavor.
What I love most is that their milk-based ice creams and paletas taste exactly like the ingredients they’re made from, and they’re not overly sweet like other places (looking at you, Michoacana). I’ve also tried a couple of their non-dairy options: maracuyá (passion fruit) and guanábana (soursop). Both exotic, refreshing, and bursting with authentic flavor. Beyond ice cream, they offer Mexican snacks like fruit cups, tostilocos, and prepared Doritos. Plus, they have a rewards system for frequent customers! The shop is clean, the customer service is excellent, and the seating area is cute with thoughtful décor. Overall, Tocumbo is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

This paletería has some of the best paletas and ice cream. The staff is ALWAYS so nice and welcoming. I stopped by this evening before heading back home towards Temecula. I purchased a few paletas and I also purchased their insulated bag. The staff was worried that the paletas wouldn't make it even though they added ice packs. I was worried too but to my surprise the paletas were in perfect condition when I got home. They did not melt at all and the drive home was 1.5hrs. If you're craving Mexican Popsicles this is the place to go. They're always fresh and delicious. You don't have to worry about freezer burn either.

10/10 experience for me. The ice cream flavors are unique and delicious I tried the chocolate and pistachio it was so good. They have a lot of unique and good flavors to choose from. They also have raspados liquados and other antojos. The employees are very nice and helpful and love the vibe here. I would come here again!

We loved having them as our wedding dessert! This was one of our favorite vendor meetings because we got to taste so many different flavors and meet the super kind staff. They saved some extras for us (since we were running around all night) and even customized a menu sign that fit with our theme. We'll absolutely be back for more.

Super friendly staff and amazing service! There’s a crazy variety of ice cream flavors to choose from. Everything is super high quality and the ice cream is perfectly creamy. I had the Vasito Gansito for the first time! Absolutely amazing and super filling. I wanted to try the popsicles and bars too, but I’ll have to save those for next time. This place is definitely a must-return spot!

Absolutely love this place, I’ve been coming here for several years now & their quality has never changed. After speaking to the owners you can tell how much love they have for making new ice cream flavors & they’re all so delicious. They have so many different treats to chose from including ice cream, paletas, aguas frescas, esquites & much much more. They also started making pupsicles which my dog loves :)

You have to try some of their snack antojitos to truly see how their location varies from other ice cream locations. The customer service is second to none, they are always happy to serve their community and they take pride in being genuine. I always enjoy getting their water based ice cream because of the freshness, yet their milk based options are always creative.
