What happened to Trader Sams at the DLH? Long time visitor to this place. Finally went back after a year and had the WORST cheeseburger I have ever eaten. Overly cooked, no season, etc. The old fried green beans are also gone. $48 for a cheeburger, fries (not bad), and one cocktail. The cast members were great as usual, but that is not enough for me to ever come back.
Recommended dishes: Wagyu Hawaiian Cheeseburger, Rum
You will wait an hour and a half then be given a text that gives you ten minutes to get there. If you take 11 minutes you go to the back of the line and wait another hour and a half. There is no waiting at the door so you have to walk away and it’s nearly impossible to get back in ten minutes! They don’t care what time your phone says you got the text, you are working on their clock. If you complain they just look down at their screens and offer no solution! Such a ridiculous system!

SO good. The short ribs are the best ones I've ever had. The dole whip I don't get the rave about, it's literally pineapple icecream that you could get at a gas station for much cheaper but that's just me. The food service and atmosphere was wonderful. Right outside Disneyland Hotel where we stayed and even my 5 yr old love the short ribs. We ordered and took up to our room because my child was too tired to stay and eat and it was for sure one of the best meals we had.

Drinks are great. Avoid the food.
Small menu but the drinks are delicious. A little pricey, but worth for the experience.
Our party of 4 each got something to eat. Someone got the ramen, I got the Kalua pork nachos, someone got the gyoza, and someone got the Hawaiian Platter.
Nothing about the Kalua pork tasted like Kalua pork. Big let down considering I've had Kalua pork in Hawaii and the flavors are amazing. This however, was a flop.
The ramen - meh. The gyoza was decent but the serving was pathetic, especially at that price. And the Hawaiian platter was average. The platter is probably the best bang for your buck, too.
Would I come here again? Probably not.

Incredibly themed and highly coveted bar!! I love that you can make reservations here in DL instead of the walk-up at WDW. I got the tiki tiki tiki tiki rum drink in the barrel mug (you can swap drinks/souvenir mugs). We ordered the pu pu platter shown in the picture and hawaiian cheeseburger (no picture)

Get a seat inside and enjoy the show. Some drinks are interactive. The staff is fun and the food was pretty good for being at a Disney property. Definitely worth going to on a trip to Downtown Disney.

Drinks here lean really sweet and food is pretty expensive for mid food. You're definitely there for the fun atmosphere.
Tiki decor is always really cute though.
Wait is always pretty long so plan ahead and make a reservation or head there early to get on the wait list. Sometimes it may be hard to get servers attention during the rushes.

The scenery is great! Hawaii vibes.. burger was great. Small issue and they handled it right away and excellent service.
Halloween 2024 was our first time going to Trader Sams. I don't know where to begin, but we can't wait to go back! Roy was beyond amazing! The entire team was great, but Roy! Phenomenal!

Spending time at Trader Sam’s is always fun. The WDW location is better but this one is much easier to get in to, so take your pick you will have fun either way.

While visiting Disneyland, we went to downtown Disney and stopped in at Trader, Sam's Tiki Bar, for a drink. I ordered a Bloody Maria, and my daughter ordered the Piranha Pool. The bartender was very friendly and made great drinks for us. The price of the drinks was a little ridiculous but what do you expect when you're at Disneyland.
