Yagi was an amazing find in Anaheim Hills. They are small and fill up fast, but their sushi chefs are top notch and incredibly fast. We tried their omakase, two rolls, miso soup, and their hot tea. All were fantastic. If you enjoy nigiri, the omakase is absolutely the one to go with.

I come here every time I’m in town, and my family comes here so often they know us by name. Very kind staff, great sushi and sake, and the specials they rotate out are always fresh. My favorites are the raw scallop with uni nigiri, soft shell crab hand rolls, and bluefin toro. They are always consistent and good :)

We loved this place and will return soon. We've been trying sushi restaurants since Taiko closed. Have been disappointed until Yagi.

Little hard to find. Shared omakase since we weren't that hungry and enjoyed every bite. I'm planning to go back and get omakase just for myself.

Authentic Japanese food. Tempura is perfectly battered , light n crispy. Sushi is fresh and well made. Ambiance is cozy. Service is great. Fast and friendly. Will definitely come back.

Small quaint strip mall sushi spot in Anaheim Hills. I believe (assume) it is Japanese owned/run, so it had a nice authentic feel to the space and food. Had their special $95 omakase at the bar, and it was a solid 11-ish course meal. Decent value and the sushi was good. Only major thing to note is that they serve you 5-6 pieces at the same time on a dish, so the experience is quite rushed and you don't get a traditional (slower single piece) omakase experience. Redeeming factor was that all the sushi pieces were fresh and tasty. A nice bonus was the tasty almond panna cotta dessert at the end!

came here to celebrate valentines day and was greatly satisfied. my bf and i ordered the chef's special omakase and all the fish tasted very fresh. everything came out quickly and was presented beautifully. our server was kind and she told us what each piece of nigiri was. our favorite was the scallop w/ uni on top. i would definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for an omakase spot with a small venue and chill vibes.

Finally, a decent sushi place in Anaheim Hills! My new favorite spot and the staff there is so friendly and accommodating. The place is small but cozy and sushi was truly amazing quality. I will definitely be returning back.

Decent omakase spot for a decent price but i've had better. However in this area i think its a solid spot. Their omakase consists of 10 pieces, a handroll and dessert (which is really tiny). We also ordered a side of fried tiny octopus and fresh wasabi. Most omakase spots i've been to would offer fresh wasabi so i was sort of surprised by the extra charge for that. My favorite pieces here were the butterfish, amberjack, and the scallop with uni. The amaebi was definitely really fresh but didn't have much of the sweet flavor. A lot of the fishes presented in the first batch were very forgettable. The dessert was definitely the most disappointing. Its supposed to be a panna cotta but it came out in a tiny cup looking just like white jello and tasted like nothing. The fried octopus was really good though but that isn't part of the omakase. For 75$ its not a bad price and their fish is fresh, but some of their pairings with the fish are just ok.

I'm conflicted. I both want to share with everyone how amazing this little sushi place is yet I selfishly want this to be 'my little secret spot'. Sushi quality 10/10 Service 11/10 Price 10/10 I come here for the omakase monthly if not more often and never leave disappointed.

Hidden gem for those that love sushi Tucked away in Anaheim Hills, I had a craving for sushi and decided to give to spot a try. It is partially hidden and unassuming located in corner of the shopping center near a coffee shop. I tried their omakase set and was amazed. They had cherry salmon, yellowtail, scallops, and many other delicious fishes for sushi. I discovered some new sushi that I didn't know that I would enjoy. This place rivals that other older hidden gem in orange without the insane wait and bookings. This sets a new high bar of sushi and I would highly recommend this place for any one who can appreciate sushi. This wraps up my reviews for 2023 and I have include my top three recommendations including this restaurant. Lets wrap up the year surrounded by friends and good food and step forward to the new year with excitement and boldness as we leave a challenging year behind.
