We were a party of six last night at Camps and we had an all-around great experience. Our server, Emily, did a great job and was very attentive and helpful. I also found other members of the staff to be very kind and courteous. The food was very good and well prepared. Two people from our party of six had the pancetta wrapped chicken and loved it. I had a ribeye steak, which was excellent and just as I had ordered it.Keep up the good work Camps!!

A bit ridiculous really. New Year's Day brunch $35, bland, cold food, wouldn't make an egg because of the amount of people there when there were only 2 other tables besides us. Then they tried to charge us for our 2 year old who had 3 bites from my plate. He didn't even get a drink. We had to ask to turn on the heaters and it took 30 minutes and 2 people to accomplish that. The waitress, Buffy, had an attitude about us sitting outside, she was not very friendly and did not make us feel very welcome at all. Underwhelming on food and service. The scenery and ambiance of the resort are really nice though. Maybe an à la cart menu and the night crew might make it worth it then.

Amazing New Year's menu! Had a wonderful meal with family. Surf and Turf was a great value and the service was really good. They were packed and still managed to take care of us. I would recommend coming here anytime! Filet Mingon was cooked perfectly and the lobster was done perfectly! I will be back and I hope you have a chance to enjoy the food and service as well.

We ate here twice in 2022 and food was OK. Not great, didn't live up to the lovely scenery, but the burgers were OK.The second visit, much of their menu was unavailable. I asked if that was typical. The waitress explained a freezer had died and they lost a lot of food. That seemed like bad luck.Ate here early 2023. I ordered the ribs. Inedible. Impossibly undercooked. Could not get a steak knife through a single rib. Ended up eating the fries and taking the ribs to re-cook at home. The only way my husband got his beer was to go get it himself. We ate outside. There were only two tables in play, both two-tops. Even so, the two waitresses seemed completely overwhelmed.I finally asked what was happening in the kitchen. The waitress said something like, "Don't ask."We haven't been back since. It's a shame, since the grounds are so attractive.I just looked at recent reviews, hoping things had turned around. But I see a lot of 1-star reviews.

My friend and I had reservations for Sunday @ 6pm, but decided to leave a little early and have a cocktail at the bar. Restaurant was totally empty except for 2 tables of 2. My first thought was "uh oh...the reviews I've read lately must be true." I'm glad that wasn't the case for us! We were greeted by Benjamin at the bar who was exceptionally welcoming and engaging with us....thus we decided to just stay at the bar and have our dinner there! He was a great help with our questions on the menu offerings. I had the Pork Belly Bau Buns and my friend had the Chicken Sesame with pan fried noodles. Both entrees were delicious! Thanks to Benjamin for making our evening a great one!

Over the last 20 years I have eaten at Camps about 6 times which has never been a good experience! Recently, I tried again and ordered fish and chips. The fish was like eating a surf board. The chips were reasonable but just barely! Thankfully the water tasted good. Camp’s prices are out of sight (22 bucks for a hamburger) for the poor quality food they serve!

Friend and I were staying in Angels Camp for 1 night; picked Camps Restaurant for dinner. We were very surprised at how good our cocktail, dinner and dessert were. We shared the salmon dinner. They do an excellent job of sharing plates for you. It was perfect; veggies, (squashes) were cooked to perfection. We sat outside, (some pesky flies, but not restaurant's issue); the deer we saw definitely made up for the flies.

I thought the best thing about this venue was the view in the back bordering a bocce ball court and golf course. The service was pretty good too. I had the crab cakes which were light and fluffy something I wouldn't of thought of. It seemed that there were bits of crab rather than shredded crab meat I'm accustomed to. Tasty but different. As a main entree I had the linguine with shrimp. It was appealing looking. It had a lemony sauce. I would of preferred something with not as dominating flavor of lemon and a creamier richer sauce. Also they seem to be a bit stingy on the amount of pasta they served.

Our waitress was awesome, very professional and attentive. She wore glasses. I don’t remember her name. The other waitress that was working seemed very negative. The last two times I have been here the food has been horrible. I decided to try one more time Friday, and was immediately disappointed. I ordered the halibut it was over cooked so much you could barely cut through it with a knife. I took one bite and realized why it was so over cooked because it was rotten.

Service sucks! Food cold and took an hour for a pastrami sandwich and onion rings. Took 20 minutes to get our first (watered down) drink and to get another my husband had to walk to the bar and order himself.

DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.... WORLDMARK ATTN Where does one start. To start we were told by the hosted she would go ahead and seat us despite two large parties ahead of us. Saw no such parties at all. But she made it weird pointing that out. There were plenty of open tables Atmosphere- it's a very nice and pretty restaurantFOOD: menu looked promising. It was in fact terrible. New York was cooked to the right temperature but was tough as leather, and the sauce that came with it w peppercorns was bland and greasy. Chicken Marsala... was WAY too sweet. Like way over the top. Ban mi-- promising, but the veggies house made pickled cucumber and carrots were NOT. Guess they just chopped some up and hoped it wasn't noticed, no cilantro to be seen, and apparently thousand island seemed like a great idea to slather on and call it good. Bleh, kinda like the peppercorn sauce, should have been a tip off another diner asked for A-1 sauce on our way to being seated. Only thing good here was side veg that still needed seasoning. We opted not to have dessert even though we were celebrating a birthday. Such a disappointment. I think this place is great if you are drunk off the fine selections of over priced wines. Because that has to be the only way you could enjoy the horrible food that is severely over priced for the quality of dishes. And then the flys. We spent the first part of the meal fending off 4-5 flys encroaching our food and buzzing into our ears and faces. The server was great and isn't responsible for the food in the kitchen. Someone needs to speak up to the chef/owners to humble them about the food here. I regret spending my hard earned money for terrible food. And also wasting a special dinner at this travesty of a menu with high hopes the prices MUST match the price tag. Right? Within 1/2 hour my husband had to immediately use the toilet.

Food was not the best. I've eaten there many times & the service & food was tops! Not this time. Service was ok, not what I had in the past. She seemed to be bothered, and we were the only ones eating on the patio.

The menu recently changed and was different from when Iooked at it on the actual website. I ordered the mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce and the sauce was watery and had zero flavor. The ravioli and mushrooms were excellent, but it was a shame the sauce was so bland that I had to add salt to save it and make it more edible. I had my husband try it because I needed a second opinion and he 100% agreed. We told the server so it could be corrected. I'm not sure if the message was related or not. I love the ambience, service, and pretty view...but a bit disappointed. Even if it was supposed to be a light cream sauce, it still needed flavor.
