It was unexpectedly open later than normal and to my surprise I didn't feel awkward. It is #adivebar, the service was good and it was clean felt like the regulars were practically family of the bar. It was relaxing.
This corner bar just changed it's name it's now The Gold Digger. It's easy to find and remember because it's on a corner right next door to the visitor information center witch is always a good stop with its clean modern restrooms. This town while known for it's gold was really catapulted to famous status for it it's frog jumping contest "Calaveras county" Highway 49's winding roads and occasional traffic can tire a person. Now called "My Bar" I believe. Had so much fun when we were here from out of town, we came back 3 days in a row. Meg's was the perfect bartender and makes a heck of a bloody mary!??
