It was very busy at lunch time on a Thursday. I was greeted with a sour " sorry but I don't even have any numbers left to give you". Not sure how to respond to that. Did she want my wife and I to leave? I ordered and wanted to use our "frog bucks" but no cell signal. As I was about to say I'd step aside while my wife goes outside to load the web page, she says I can't wait for you in a rude tone. I stepped aside. Next couple approached, ordered, and was asked what side they wanted. They didn't immediately know and she said they needed to choose one, followed by a " I don't need any attitude right now". I understand there is stress when you are busy, but no reason to have this negative approach with customers. I've had nice lunches with nice service here before. This time we just left.

Food is amazing! I love coming to this place and sharing it with friends! Best bloody marys in the county, according to my friends. I wish I could say that I'd come back, but the owner is just someone I can't support any longer.

It's really nice having a gourmet sandwich shop in town. Outside patio seating is pleasant but it can get busy & noisy. I've been here several times & my sandwiches as well as side salads have been delicious. The sandwiches are generously stacked with fresh ingredients. In my opinion the bread can make or break a sandwich. Unfortunately on my last visit the whole wheat bread was so dry & stale I couldn't eat it. I wished I hadn't gotten it to-go or I would definitely have returned it! I'm not picky but the bread really was awful! I'm sure whoever prepared that sandwich would not have eaten it but expected a customer to spend $$$. The staff hasn't always been great. Let's just say unprofessional conversations behind the counter. I have yet to go back, maybe I will give them another chance & I'll probably even mention my past dissatisfaction

Wow.... Where do I even start. The ambiance was fabulous! Loved all the hilarious wine signs The sandwiches were great. Very well put together and served with love. The service was also fantastic. Overall 8.73/10

Tucked away in the sweet town of Angels Camp, lives a must-try sandwich joint. This place is home of the best sandwich I have ever had. Visiting my parents up in Valley Springs, they were raving about this place and really wanted to take me; I can't turn down a sandwich. I didn't expect much since the food in Valley Springs area wasn't much to write home about. But over in Angels Camp... the Pickled Porch impressed me! When we got there, the owner was tidying up the landscaping which was already quite well manicured. The establishment itself is just darling. Clean, organized, and functional. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu! There was so many amazing options but I went with the Tommy Bomber with fruit, mom went with the Turkey Cranberry with the Pesto Mac, and my stepdad went with the Clam Chowder which he claims to be the best he's ever had. Our food came out quickly and beautifully! And WOW!!! The sandwich exceeded my expectations. Fresh ingredients, full of flavor. This sandwich was a labor of love, I just know it. When I say I was talking about this sandwich for the entire drive home... I mean it! My stepdad says "I remember talking about my first Pickled Porch sandwich too". Seriously. I mean, look at the picture! If a sandwich was a dream. How often can you say in the post-covid days that a restaurant is clean, staff is helpful and friendly, service was quick, and the food is not only fresh but flavorful and delicious?! This is one of the places that hit every mark for me and I'm so bummed that I live 4.5 hours away!! It seems I'm going to be visiting my parents more often in the next few months;)

I asked for light tomato and a bread substitution on my sandwich order and was told that would be no problem.Neither were done, but I was so hungry I didn't care anymore. Overall, they seemed confused about a lot of people's orders, as well.Food was pretty tasty, but the vegetarian sandwich was pretty bland. Sides were good. Liked the pesto mac a lot.Don't think I would return

I live about 2 hours away but go to Bear Valley a few times a year. Every trip, I make sure to stop at the Pickled Porch. I am obsessed with the Cranberry Turkey sandwich and would probably make that drive just for a little lunch trip. My boyfriend is picky about sandwiches and he said it's the best he's ever had (he gets the Tommy Bomber). I recently tried the clam chowder and I was thoroughly impressed. It is thick and full of veggies and clams (even took a large container to go to have later that night). Also, the desserts are phenomenal, so make sure you save room. Portion sizes are huge, the service is great and staff are so friendly and quick. Plenty of outdoor seating. Even in the cold it's covered with heaters.

The Staff Is Friendly, The Food Is Amazing! They Have Outside Seating With Heaters For Cold Days. I Highly Recommend Pickled Porch Cafe! We Will Be Back.

There were five of us at lunch on Saturday and we all enjoyed our food so much! We came for the turtle cheesecake which had just sold out, bummer! We tried the turtle brownie and lemon cheesecake instead and were very happy! We also had the cranberry turkey sandwich, the Lilly Bird, and the Basil Bird and all were delicious. The display case of sides looked a little old and sus, but when delivered, our sides were fresh and tasty. I recommend the Pickled Porch! I'll be back for more cheesecake!

Sandwiches were great and the cheesecake is to die for!! The soups are just OK. We will definitely be back again soon.
