I visited this place with my sister during a Howell Mountain specific wine tour day and we had a great time. Their Cab Franc was amazing, the story and the scenery. I highly recommend this place.
Chris was great. Glad to have gone!
Made an appointment to see this hard to find winery at the end of a road. And wow we were sure glad we did. When we pulled up and found Chris the rest was history. Took us up to the outdoor tasting room overlooking the great Zinfandel vineyard with the dogs, and proceeded to taste some fantastic wines. Great place!!
Chris spent time with us sharing the Black Sears story while we were tasting amazing wines.
This is a breath of fresh air in the Napa Valley. An absolutely wonderful place to visit. From the people who run this, to the hospitality, the incredible property, and outstanding wines, this place has it all. I brought a group of 12 people here in May 2016. Tour and tasting hosted by Chris were outstanding. Such a relaxing and kind of spiritual experience. The wines are unique in that they are Napa Valley and Howell Mountain, but I also found an incredible elegance and fresh uplift to the wines both aromatically and on the palate that I have not found elsewhere in the valley. Again, great place. Would go back any time.
One of the est Zins around. Great tasting experience on the side of the hill overlooking the old zin block. Chris and LouDog make for a great time!
One of the best. the cave is pretty cool. The table in the woods on the mountain has the best view of the estate, what a relaxing place to enjoy a bottle of their wine.
Awesome tasting! One of my favorites for sure. A very quaint and rustic winery high up on Howell Mountain (there are none higher). The cab and zin were great, and Chris showed us a great time.Don't go tasting here if you aren't up for a little adventure and a little farm life experience.
