Outpost Wines is a hike up the mountain so would recommend for anyone coming, try to plan a few different wineries on the hill, otherwise your drive time will be high.Excellent scenery — we did a tour of the property which was amazing (beats Chappellet). Our host was outstanding.Wines were good paired with the amazing view. This was our first time — definitely added to our list of return places.

Sometimes you just need to get off the beaten path of life to discover some of the finer things; this is such the case with Outpost. My wife had been doing some research on various wineries and Outpost was one that kept surfacing in group discussions. We made the trip up the mountain and we are so glad we did. We were pleasantly met in the parking lot by Sara and we given a tour of the winery with a wonderful glass of Chard. Following our tour of the vistas, Sara went to work pouring us wonderful glasses of wine, explaining the origin and any back story that accompanied the wine. Sara was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions in detail. Our experience was brilliant and we can't wait to return with our other friends and show them another hidden gem. Thank you Outpost Wines!
