My husband and I came here to celebrate my birthday! This winery has everything (and more) that you would want when visiting the wine country. We were greeted by 4 adorable dogs and had a great parking spot in the shade. We brought our own picnic lunch which paired very well with the wines. Heather is an amazing host. She had our tasting experience set up on a beautiful white table cloth with fresh flowers and shade from their large oak tree. The wines we tasted were delicious. My favorite was the Zin and my husband’s favorite was the Rosè. We happened to be there when they were setting up for a garage sale, so I was able to take some books home as a bonus. I highly recommend this winery!
We love Howell Mountain juice and they are super reasonably priced. Heather was awesome! We joined the wine club because the wine was delicious!
This is a mom and pop shop that makes excellent Cabernet, Zinfandel, Zinfandel Port, Rose, etc. It gives a down to earth, warm cozy feeling.
It is an intimate experience at Summit. We brought along lunch to enjoy under the shade of a walnut tree while sitting with Heather as she shared her family story of the winery. It is a low-key environment with delicious wines to be tasted! I'm typically not a Zin fan but ended up ordering Zin to be shipped home.
Excellent tasting at a picnic table under a walnut tree at this family owned and run winery. We were greeted on our arrival by a couple of dogs who we were happy to see since we were missing ours. The wines were all delicious but we especially liked the Zinfandel and bought three bottles of it which was enough to have our tasting fee waived. The family run aspect goes all the way down to the grandchildren of the owner having wines named after them and labels inspired by them. This is a must visit in Napa.
Summit Lake came recommended through an online forum and it didn't disappoint. There's no fancy tasting room just a picnic table under the walnut tree. Heather was a great host and we really enjoyed our visit with her. Everything we tried was great and we ended up purchasing a mixedccase of their wines.
Heather is the best! We used to take our cycling groups here and she treated us like family.
