Good food, prices are decent.

I’ve eaten here a couple times in the past and recently came in for the first time in a little over a year. Before arriving I checked the menu online to see if it was still the same or if there was anything new .
My group was seated quickly by our waiter and she was very nice,but wasn’t too knowledgeable about the menu when we asked some questions about certain items . She also was wearing an AirPod that fell out while taking our order , which seemed unprofessional . Maybe she is new and just needs a little more training .
As for the food , the miso soup came out on the colder side , but our sushi roles were fantastic which is why we came here in the first place for the great sushi. One thing I found odd was online they advertised Coke in their beverages section, but they claimed to only have Pepsi (not online at all) when we asked for a drink. I wish they would bring back the Coke! Other than that this wasn’t a horrible visit , but it wasn’t amazing either . Overall it was Okay. 3/5 Stars

So I was charging my car at EVGo and got hungry. Then I saw this Kanpai Sushi right there I said perfect time to grab some sushi it should better be delicious because I’m so hungry! I tried their Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll and CA Hand Roll! Wallahh oh my goodness it was so orgasmic and fresh! Want to buy again more and will try their different dishes!!! Highly recommended ✨

I have been here several times, always get the same thing and it’s always been amazing, the front host lady has always been super sweet and welcoming and the food has always been perfect.
Today though the host lady I’ve never seen before was super unhelpful and rude. And the sushi was poorly built. It was way different than usual and literally falling apart and unrolling itself before we even touched it. Ingredients usually in the roll were just placed on top. And it was super hard to eat because it was just falling apart in chunks of rice and I’m super disappointed. It’s always been so amazing so idk what’s going on there but today was not good service or food. It tasted good but didn’t taste right because it was basically sushi salad. And I ordered 2 rolls and they were both just shoved in one box and only one set of chopsticks. The host lady was super rude about asking for extra sauce and almost wouldn’t hand it to me because “there is one in the bag” but it was for 2 people. We had to go get plates so we didn’t have to eat out of the same plate.

This is our go-to sushi spot. Always so friendly, and the food is great!

This is not fresh fish - it smelled very fishy and tasted fishy. Center with the crabmeat was overly mushy. Rolls were inconsistently wrapped.

I had not eaten since yesterday so played roulette with these rolls. Hope I’m not sick in the next 24 hours.

Service was fast and well done - only reason for any stars at all.

This used to be our go to sushi place. Now we'll be going elsewhere. It seemed like every sushi dish that was sent out to the tables was sent back for being wrong (and not just at our table).
I normally get the Mendocino and the Godzilla roll.
The Mendocino was just absolutely drenched in either unagi sauce or soy sauce. Bleh. Not refreshing at all like it normally is. The Godzilla had quite a bit of it too but at least it was less noticeable. The chef (via the waitress, she was so very nice no fault to her) tried to say that's how the Mendocino roll always was made - and no it absolutely wasn't.

What happened to this place it used to be really good, but the food has lost quality not in terms of the food but the cooking and preparation. There is no consistency I hope the owner gets involved and brings their standards back. Please have some pride in your work KENPAI!

Want to talk about American Sushi. This place is it. The salmon skin hand roll wasn't even salmon skin. It was left over burnt pieces of batter, just crumbles they tossed in. The unagi hand roll was one piece of eel and all rice; that was it. The baked scallops roll. Gross! They threw 6 scallops on top of a California roll and drenched it in a knock off kewpie sauce, chili sauce, and unagi sauce.The cucumber salad was dry raw cucumber slices, no sauce. If you want run of the mill tasteless food, that is culturally watered down this sushi place would be it. Only thing I'd recommend is not going to the restaurant.
