This greasy spoon is always packed, and now I can see why. The food is great, lots to choose from.

Lumpy's Diner in Antioch is a classic gem. The food is hearty, delicious, and full of that comforting, homemade flavor. It is a good breakfast place, probably one of the best in eastern Contra Costa county. The Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs were really good, and the waffles and chicken are chefs kiss. The portions are generous, and everything comes out fresh and satisfying. Ample seating, good ambiance, and the retro vibe adds a fun touch, feels like Mels Diner but food is way better. The staff are warm, friendly, and make you feel right at home. The owner is hilarious, walking around greeting customers and telling Dad type jokes. Great service and GENEROUS MIMOSAS. If you get the potatoes, make sure to ask for the garlic and butter on it too.
