We started to come for coffee and ended upHaving the wonderful tasty homemade soups they are offering. Every single choice on the menu is healthy and tasty. Coffee is very good also. What a wonderful hidden gem coffee shop with a great atmosphere and service. Definitely must visit.

Great atmosphere and the owner is always very welcoming. Lemon and other citrus fruit infused complimentary fresh water. Perfect little relaxing cafe with the nice outside patio. I came here with my biking friends, we all rode from Monterey to Aptos! We all got a cup of coffee and were greeted warm welcome from the owner! She made the best mocha I've had ! Not too sweet and not too watered down! I love the service it was worth giving a review !

So glad we stopped here, as there's a lot to like about California Coffee!The people are kind, hard working, and have a lot of positive energy. I really enjoyed the lentil soup. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and pastries. Parking was easy and they're not far off highway 1, which made it a quick and easy pit stop. They have wifi available. (I didn't use it, so I can't speak to the quality of the wifi.) Indoor and outdoor seating is available, with a special gated part in the outdoor area that's specifically for dogs too.I wish I lived closer, because I'd be a regular here!Parking: Some spots specifically reserved for them with more nearby too.

I loved this place! They have Gluten Free options and just delicious food and snacks! So many options for drinks. The staff are very nice also. The main reason we came is because I read about the dog area in the reviews and it was so cute. I enjoyed my coffee while my dog was occupied sniffing the whole perimeter. They even sell dog treats inside! How amazing is this cafe!

They were open on Christmas and were busy! The latte was delicious and nice and hot, and the servers were friendly.

Nice atmosphere but way too expensive. For 2 breakfast burritos (with overdone eggs made in the microwave) and two lattes it was $50. Chai latte was good but food was nothing special.

I have been going here for the past 5 years. Once to twice a month. I treat myself to the same drink at every cafe, quad nonfat mocha with my own cup. Usually when I order here, it comes to around $8. Other cafes I go to average around 7-8.50 with my drink. I know I'm ordering an expensive drink, so that's an every occasion treat for me. The best deal is Peet's at $6.75. I went there this past Wednesday and the cost was an astounding $11.75! I actually experienced sticker shock when I ordered. Yo, I know times are tough and prices are going up, but got-damn! The next week I went to Firefly I went to firefly and same drink was 8.25. So, that was my last time at California coffee. Sucks because I live really close to there and it's really convenient, but now I'm willing to go down the road a few blocks for the same drink $4 less. The service is nice enough, but I felt fleeced.

Prices have gotten out of hand. I had a hang 10 with a shot of espresso (frappe) And a egg bacon cheese bagel 30 dollars. That's insane you can sit down and have a full on breakfast for 2 for $40 elsewhere Verve, cat and cloud, Starbucks all way cheaper. Sorry but imagine having 3 people eat this. 90 bucks 3 bagels and drinks. Food quality was fine not great. Microwaved egg microwaved bacon Drink mostly ice I hate to post a bad review the lady was nice, and I did like the food for what it was. Also over head is high maybe eliminate some stuff from the menu and do it super well rather than a keeping so much in stock to cut cost.
