I really love the meats offered and the soup bases that I tried (can’t remember their names now). However because the service is slow I felt the need to order everything the 2nd time I went which kinda makes things less fresh. The first time I had to wait so long for them to bring out more meat and it wasn’t even that many people in the restaurant. The food is the reason I would go back but the service could/should definitely be better. Also the 19.99 all you can eat sign is a bit misleading. I was told you can only chose 1 thing - either it wasn’t explained well or the sign is wrong.
I love this hotpot place. We just came back from eating here and the sides they have are soo good. They give personal hotpots~ The service is great and basically you get what you want from the bar fishballs, fried todu skin, vegetables, spam etc. They also have icecream! I wanted to gatekeep, but I recommend visiting this store! Support local businesses
Note: Highkey better/cleaner than other AYCE hotpot places nearby :)
101 Hot Pot All You Can Eat – A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering
My friends and I were craving hotpot this past Tuesday and happened to stumble upon 101 Hot Pot All You Can Eat (Chinese Hotpot). One of us remembered hearing about them back when they were in El Monte, CA, but never got the chance to try it. We decided to take the leap—and I’m so glad we did.
🥘 What We Ordered:
Prime Buffet – $48.99
This tier includes premium broths and a wide selection of meats and seafood:
Broths: Spicy & Sour Soup, Jelly Golden Chicken
Meats: US Wagyu Chuck Cross, Wagyu Brisket, Wagyu Chuck Eye
Seafood: Abalone, Oyster, Tiger Shrimp, Green Mussel
🌟 Highlights:
Jelly Golden Chicken Broth (9/10):
Comforting and rich—it reminded me of a Chinese version of chicken noodle soup, just without the noodles. Definitely a must-try.
US Wagyu Chuck Cross & Brisket:
Tender and flavorful. The Chuck Eye was a bit too lean for my taste.
Seafood Standouts:
The abalone was a rare and welcome treat, oysters were fresh, and tiger shrimp had great texture.
Great Portioning:
Meats come out neatly sliced (6–8 pieces per plate), which helps avoid over-ordering and food waste.
Drinks on Draft:
Unlimited soda cans plus milk tea and ice lemon tea on draft—super convenient!
DIY Sauce & Veggie Bar:
Self-serve style makes customizing your hotpot experience super easy. Don't miss the money bag dumpling—stuffed with shrimp and egg, it was amazing.
Dessert Bonus:
Grab Thrifty ice cream from the self-serve freezer to end your meal on a sweet note.
Ambiance:
The restaurant has a clean and modern design with soft background music—comfortable and inviting without being too loud.
⚠️ Areas for Improvement:
Service is a bit slow. It looks like they’re running on a lean, possibly family-run model. It was manageable on a Tuesday, but might not hold up on a busy weekend.
Premium Meat Cuts:
The lamb was sliced too thick, and the prime angus beef was overly fatty. Something to note if you’re picky about texture.
💡 Tips:
Accepts credit cards
Indoor seating only
Clean restrooms available
Located across from 85°C and Momo Paradise
Free parking shared with Sharetea, or look for street parking
Avoid weekends until staffing improves
We’ll definitely be returning—next time to try the Mala soup base. If you’re a hotpot fan looking for great value and unique options like abalone, give 101 Hot Pot a shot!
One of my favorite things to eat is hot pot and 101 ayce in Arcadia checks all the marks especially if you’re a meat and seafood lover.
They’ve got unlimited milk tea, a vegetable buffet, and so much more. It’s 48.95 per person for a great selection From tender and marbled Wagyu meat to the Chinese delicacy abalone to giant tiger prawns.
I also love that they do a duo pot so you can have two soup bases with my favorites being the sukiyaki and the hot and sour soup. They also have a spicy Chinese mala and an herbal golden chicken soup which I have to try next time. One dunk in the delicious hot soup paired with some sesame sauce and I know you’ll be coming back for more.
I’m usually someone who always thinks about value for money, but I love all-you-can-eat hot pot — mainly because prepping all the ingredients at home is way too much work.
This place is a little pricier than others, but it’s absolutely worth it. They include wagyu beef, oysters, and abalone, which makes it an incredible deal for what you get.
Plus, they offer a mala broth base, which is a huge win for me! Definitely one of my favorite spots for hot pot.
Also they offer 15% off for lunch.
So I am going for lunch next time.
Wonderful place for seafood lover, FRESH! owner not even worry about how many you can eat, they only care if you enjoy the food. I had at least 25 oysters tonight, my spicy broth tastes like oyster! As a picky eater, Buffet bar is very clean and fresh, meat is fair quality, and the service just like home. Glad I found this place, highly recommend.
My favorite hot-pot spot, super friendly and amazing food
Amazing good and even more incredible staff. Very friendly, accommodating, and lovable. The hotpot soup base was 10/10. We had tried four different soup flavors and they were all amazing. Cuts of meat were very good quality and will definitely be coming back again!
The sour and spicy special hot pot and sukiyaki at the hot pot restaurant are amazing!
The broth is really special, especially the vinegar pot, which has a slight spiciness—perfect for those who crave spice but can’t handle too much heat!
Drinks and ice cream are unlimited!
Great local spot for family. Cozy AYCE hotpot on Duarte Rd. Friendly staff. Kids-friendly.
