Had my eye on 1919 Lanzhou Beef Noodle whenever I was in the plaza and finally made my first visit.
Arrived for a weekday dinner and it wasn't too packed inside. They have their equal share of dine-in customers and to-go pick ups.
I chose some staples and some signature items. Both the pan fried green onion pancake and the beef roll pancake were crisped to perfection. The dough wasn't too thick and doughy. Soooo good! BF and I split that as well as the stir fried noodle combination (the second one on the combo list). Even though it's called the stir fried noodle combo in English, the main item is the braised beef noodle soup (the Chinese part has the more specific names). I chose tea egg instead of the fried egg and the cucumber salad for my cold dish. Got a can of Diet Coke for my soft drink. I got the noodle soup mild and it still delivered a nice spicy kick. I went for the thick wide noodles and yesss, what a good decision. Gave myself a pat on the back.
Food was delicious and the owner who took my order was very sweet. It felt like I was dining at home!

Man, I always love this place. Their beef roll is my favorite. I think it's the best beef roll in Los Angeles. Plenty of parking up front staff is super friendly and they've always found a way to seat me quickly. Always love going here and getting that beef roll. I should try the noodles sometime but I'm just hooked on the beef roll.

Loved the taste of their Lanzhou beef noodles. I got the braised beef soup with wide noodles while my friend got the house special with regular noodles. I like the wide noodles’ texture more and think it’s more unique. We also got a beef green pancake roll, was good as well, a bit sweet. Good option for northwestern Chinese food.

While noodle street is miles better, the flavors weren’t bad. My main issue is it gave me terrible food poisoning and I’ve been suffering for the past 6 hours. Won’t be back here
They were out of beef. The noodles where a good texture and amount. The lady was rude and also whoever the chef was, put WAY too many chilies and oul into my bowl. Other people at my table who ordered the same got less chilies and their's was alright.
Will not waste my eating energy coming back here again!

Nice clean little restaurant, food was just okay below average. Staff demanded to leave tips why? It's not mandatory. Still lefted a small tip but don't appreciate it them asking for one.

A fantastic restaurant for affordable, comfortable, delicious hand pulled LanZhou noodles. The noodle soups are so satisfying and made to perfection. They taste so fresh and comes out super quickly. I went to wash my hands after ordering and by the time I came back the noodles were ready. The interior is very clean and nicely decorated. The staff are very friendly and treat you like family.
