I have always enjoyed their beef noodle before. I was delighted that the owner has improved their beef noodle soup so that it is even better than before (soup is even tastier; noodle is chewier-due freshly made noodles!). I know people has different style n taste preferences, but this is definitely one of my favorites n I highly recommend this dish to try!

The 4 stars are strictly for the beef stew noodle and I wouldn't try out other stuff. Their beef stew noodle is really good and you can pick between the types of beef (tendon, meat, or mix). It's gently spicy and very tender. The presentation is so so and the store itself is old, but that's where you find food cooked with the heart. This is a long time mom and pop shop so there is a small wait for the food. The day I went was only a mom doing everything (cook, take orders, serve, etc)

The premium beef noodle soup I got was a solid 2. I wanted to like the place more but there were too many factors making me dislike it. The meat offerings were alright and fair, and tripe is not always offered which was nice. However one of the tendons was still cold on the inside which was unfortunate. There were also two noodle clumps that were not separated properly, or at all during cooking which really sucked. As for the broth, I personally like things a but saltier/spicy but regardless I thought it was alright. It was not super rich, but I won't say it lacked flavor.. maybe just complexity? I also didn't find it spicy at all, but no mind I just added some more chili oil myself. If everything was hot + unclumped I'd give this bowl a 3 star. The reason I'm currently rating this place a 3 is because the service was great and I didn't have any issues with that. I will say though, at the price point (20$ OTD tax/tip/service fee; which I understand is likely going to be the same in many places) I would probably not order it again. Just didn't seem worth it for a 3 star bowl.

I ordered the House Beef Noodle Soup, and the meal is so flavorful and delicious it made me come back for more whenever i stopped by Arcadia. The Food: The beef noodle soup bowl consists of noodles, braised beef, vegetable leaf, and the soup contains chili oil and some other flavors. When you start off with the noodles, the texture is a good balance of not hard nor soggy. It's soft and chewy. The beef is very savory. When you bite the meat, it's soft and easily melt in your mouth. Also, the beef doesn't contain a lot of fat, which is a good thing. I like eating the meat because it gives a sweet spice aroma and it's warm. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. You have the view of the busy street to view while enjoying your meal. Parking is available, but it's small. The restroom is outside the corner of the restraunt.Service: The restraunt also take orders thru food apps and phone orders. Conclusion: i give this a 5 star because this place is one of the best beef noodle soup restraunt in the SGV. If you're coming to the SGV or near Arcadia, i suggest you visit this place and give it a taste. You won't be disappointed.Parking: The parking space is in a plaza and its free to park. Customer parking only. Also this plaza contain many nice snacks and drinks after you finish your meal.Wheelchair accessibility: Theres not stairs so its wheelchair accessible .

The soup really compliments the beef and noodles. This is soooo good. The broth is very clean, yet flavorful! The lady is very nice and polite. We also ordered the little dumplings which tastes like it was really made from scratch instead of half effort prepackaged. I would come here everyday if I could!!

We have been driving by this place for years and have been wanting to try it and finally got the chance. Careful if you try to turn into the lot off of Arcadia as it is one way and you are not supposed yo enter from this side (see pic), although we saw lots of people doing it. The lot is on a small strip mall shared with other businesses and is divided from the rest of the mall. So if you enter from Baldwin (only legal entrance) it is the second driveway. The lot is pretty small and parking will be challenging when busy. We ordered numerous items to try them and took left overs home: #1 House Beef Noodle Soup, #10 Noodles with Minced Pork Sauce w/ side dish (i.e., Taiwanese style jajangmyeon), #18 Curry Chicken Fried Rice, and #22 Leek Pancake. All of the items were good, but the #1 had the best flavor. It is spicy so we asked for medium spicy. The noodles in the soup of #1 seemed identical to the noodles in the #10 jajangmyeon. The broth was the best part of the soup, but the beef and noodles were good. The noodles tasted much better on the #10 jajangmyeon. The Taiwanese style typically has a lighter and less flavorful sauce than the Korean version and so adding some Chinese hot sauce provided on the tables improved the flavor. The "side dish" was pickled vegetables and while tastes vary, we just don't care for the style of pickling 88BN uses, which is pretty standard for many places. If you like curry like we do and if you like fried rice, then you should like the #18. The curry flavor was strong and good but not overpowering. The #22 is not a pancake and is what we call a "chive pocket" or "chive bao" at other places. At 88 BN it had the standard items of vermicelli glass noodles, egg, and leeks/chives, but also small bits of tofu. The skin at 88 BN was thinner and less greasy than many other places and this was nice. We did not use hot sauce on it, but if not flavorful enough for you, then using some will work. We would get all these items again, but would want to try: #4 Premium Beef Noodle Soup, #9 Cold Noodle Plate with Chicken, and #16 Spicy Wonton (pork and shrimp), and "I" Combination Cold Plate. The lady who was our server was nice and did a good job. The inside is small and has relatively little seating. It might be tough for large groups and do takeout or catering might be better for that. It was not busy when we went on 11:00 on a Sunday , so it was pretty quiet. You need a key to go to the restroom, which is outside in the back. The restroom is clean but it it what we think of as "old school style Chinese restaurant" or old and run down. Just remember to bring your umbrella if it is raining and you plan to use the toilet. Overall the Yelp rating for this place is too low and should be a 4-5 star. We would definitely recommend giving 88 BN a try, but would suggest eating in rather than take out as the style of dishes served here will probably taste better that way.

Went into this place with my family and my friends around 3:00 p.m. We were the only people in the store. They graciously closed the door and turned on the air conditioning. We ordered beef noodle soup, steamed dumplings, pan fried dumplings, sauteed spinach, beef roll.Beef noodle soup was delicious. There were plenty of noodles to share with four adults so everyone could get a taste.Beef roll was soft and they use cucumbers within.Sauteed spinach had a delicious flavorThey charge about a 3% service fee if you use credit card.I'm very grateful that we discovered this place today. Most other stores were closed at this time.

extremely quaint place. the lady who works there is of few words but i got my order down! the noodles themselves were delicious and the soup was very well rounded. definitely bolder flavors and very seasoned. the beef pieces for the premium beef is a great variety and i actually love tendon and tripe so that was yummy. overall a real simple meal if you're just trying to get some classic chinese style beef noodle soup

I understand this is a mom and pop shop so I am not trying to be mean or anything. But I tried this place due to the reviews and the beef noodle soup was so salty, the saltiness was so overwhelming I ended up throwing it away. It's as of someone dumped half a canister of salt.... that's how salty it was. I tried to rinse out the saltiness by pouring out the broth and adding water but the noodles were super salty as well. I don't like to waste food and my food history has some quite unpalatable dishes. I'm not sure if it was an off day or the cook was stressed out? When I went to get my food there was another party of 3 at around 2-3 pm in the afternoon. Most of the reviews kept talking about authentic taste and everything but I don't think so unless it's supposed to be this salty?I also ordered the 5 spice dish.... it's less salty than the beef noodle soup. But still salty as well and the portion size is very small about 5-6 slices. Same for the beef tendon dish.I'll give them a star for actually responding to online orders and letting you know when you can pickup your food. Some places you literally have to guess...Parking: There is a lot of parking in the back.

I've driven past this place like a million times while going traveling up north Baldwin Ave to the mall so I decided to give it a shot. They have a specific parking lot which is not shared with the other businesses north of it. It's blocked off so you cannot cross each parking lot. The main entrance is actually on Baldwin Ave and the nearest cross street of Arcadia Ave is an exit. The parking is a one way. Upon entering this place, it's like a mom and pop shop. It's not a very big place either. When I walked in, I saw some older folks folding dumplings so it seems like their dumplings are made in house. The inside feels a bit run down and the table was a little sticky. It reminds me of those small restaurants back in the 90s and early 2000s.I ordered two items, their spicy beef noodle soup and some juicy pork dumplings aka xiao long bao. The portion size of the beef noodle soup was good, there was enough noodles and the beef looked and tasted very tender. It was really good. In the picture I thought it's bok choy but in reality it's spinach. I found that a little weird. The juicy pork dumpling would be a pass from me. The skin is really thick and tough to eat. It's not on the same level as Din Tai Fung or Mama Lu.There is literally no service, they drop off your food and then they disappear. It's one of the places where you come for the food and not for the service. Pricing for this place is alright, it's not too expensive but it's inline with other beef noodle places. I would highly recommend not using the restroom here as it has seen better days. It's on the outside and it's really really run down. There's a locker inside and it's super rusty.Overall, good beef noodle soup, no service, average pricing, and parking is small. One of the best beef noodle soup places around.
