Most likely the worst Boiling Point spot, I have ever been to. As a person who’s an advocate of Boiling Point. This location truly disappointed me. I had ordered a beef pot. Needless to say, the beef was definitely tough and hard to chew/swallow. As I was enjoying my meal and grabbing the meatball. I gave a close examination and saw a small piece of hair. I was grossed out. Either way, I found the service to be extremely rude with their tone of voice and also did not check up on us whether, it was to refill drinking water or extra soup base to your pot
They're scamming people here. I only tipped 18% and they charged me a 33% tip. When I tried to resolve it with them, they only offered me cash. I asked that they give me credit back through my credit card but they refused. Extremely sus, DO NOT SUPPORT. Warning to everyone to check their credit card statements after eating here.
I’ve been coming here every now and then since my college days. The last time I came before today, service was getting bad but I chalked it up to it was being busy. Today though, it was a different matter. Husband and I just came in and sat down, haven’t even opened the QR menu yet in literally 2 seconds in server with blonde hair and glasses came asked if we were ready. We said no and she walked away just like that, without asking if we need water or maybe something to drink. Another server came pregnant lady, very sweet, she took our order. Food came out about 15mins later - it’s fine. We were still clearly in the middle of eating, food wasn’t even half eaten she came and gave us receipts.
Now I get it that we are not obligated to pay right away just cause the bill is dropped. But give us sometime to eat and enjoy the food? It’s a damn boiling soup we’re trying to eat and you want us to get out so fast?
Someone please retrain that girl with blonde hair and glasses.
If you’re wondering, we came in around 11:20am didn’t order until 11:25am ish all food fully came about 10-15mins later, got the bill by 11:58am.
Needless to say I cut the tip ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ
Boiling point is the best personal hot pot place around. They have many styles with lots of different ingredients and sauces. Very delicious and filling with good value. This location is nice and it seems like they add more meat compared to other locations that I have been to. Staff are friendly and the interior is very clean.
I never had an issue with the food here, however I do have an issue with the service. Most servers have a good attitude and are friendly but whenever Sabrina is my waitress she seems to have an upset attitude. For example no greeting, rolling eyes, no thank you before we leave like the others do. I'd rather go to the one in pasadena or San gabriel....
There are other boiling points closer to me but I enjoy the service from this location. Hands down much better and the soup is on point
This location compared to the rest is the best. The wait isn't too long, parking is nice, and the service is good. The quality and amount of food is always good and consistent and the staff is always nice. The beef pot is a personal favorite for all of my friends and myself.
Delicious hot pot and boba drinks! I recommend the miso hot pot. The soup is flavorful and there were so many different items in the pot like fish cake, shrimp, meatballs, tofu, tofu skin, cabbage, udon noodles, and mushrooms. You can choose a side carb of white rice or vermicelli to cook in the soup. You can choose an individual pot to eat yourself, or a large one to share with another person. You can also choose spice level and no spice was good, but the mild seemed pretty spicy. They bring the pot out with all the food inside and then light a paper in the bottom that burns for a rather short period of time. Their pudding sweet milk with boba was great, and it had no caffeine. The service was good, I just noticed many employees at Chinese restaurants can’t speak Mandarin anymore.
Service was good, food was so so, portion is small for $20 on the average per hot pot.
The restaurant is noisy with the cement floor and dragging of chairs that is hurting to my ears.
The most turn off is the 30 minutes wait. I would not have waited if it is not my visiting sister insisted to eat this hot pot.
My philosophy is that if the restaurant can accommodate the demand in a reasonable manner (5 to 10 mins wait acceptable) then they won't earn my business ever and I won't come back either no matter how good the food is. There is always a substitute, really no biggie. So if I am on my own or another occasion with friends and family, I will not patronize Boiling Point.
Much better location than Pasadena concept store, where they constantly check your ID..

This place was amazingly delicious !! 😋
One of the wife favorite eating spots especially for cold days. We frequent this location a couple times a month.
Your best bet for no or short wait is weekday lunch. Followed by weekday dinner. Weekends are generally busy. As you can guess, winter time or cold days are more busy as well.
Also, Lunch order comes with a free drink.
Food was great, but the service was not. The server was terrible. I did not appreciate her attitude.

I brought my family to dinner at 13:47 on October 3, 2024. The service quality and attitude of the waiter Frank can be described as garbage. I am not sure whether the guests can just jump in the queue after signing in and going out for a walk when they come back. Is it reasonable?
