Capital Seafood Restaurant

My partner and I ate there for an early, low key New Year's Eve dinner. We order a lot of food but that enabled us to try more variety, and then we had enough for another dinner at home the next night. We started with Crab Soup with Fish Maw. Delicious, and generous amount of crab. It was hard to stop with one bowl but we had to leave room for the other dishes. The Sea Scallops with Asparagus was also excellent. We ate all the scallops and took home some of the asparagus. Then came half a Roasted Duck which was a lot of skin and fat. It was better as leftovers when we could cook a lot of the fat down. We also ordered a side of Pea Leaves in Special Sauce. They tasted like peas but much more delicate, which we enjoyed. If we weren't passing through we would already have plans to return.

The food was and service too. We gather with our long time friends. We had fun.

Very high quality dim sum. Plenty of room, and the wait is never too long. Quick service (no carts). Clean, comfortable, feels quite high-end yet very traditional and authentic. Love coming here.

Yumcha is delicious, but the Drunken Chicken is a bit inferior. Maybe American chicken is not delicious! The bean curd beef balls are slightly salty...others are okay! The main hall was almost full at noon on Tuesday, and business was good….
I came here again, half of the roast duck feathers were not plucked, and I gave a big bill but didn't get any change for a long time. Does this mean that the change should be regarded as the entire tip? So disrespectful to the guests!

It's delicious, the environment is good, the service is good, and the food is fresh.

The dim sum is a bit pricey now, but very delicious and fresh. We came on a weekday around lunch time and I was expecting an older food but surprisingly it was still fresh and very tasty. For example, the roasted duck is still crispy and delicious, the boiled beef is fresh and crispy, and the dry-roasted pho has a rich pot flavor.

There’re tons of dim sum Cantonese seafood restaurants in the San Gabriel valley area. While Chef Tony in Arcadia, on Michelin guide, and Harbor Seafood Restaurant in Rosemead, a Michelin star, are champions, they don’t have the almond milk pastry which this restaurant proudly serves. It’s exotic and delicious.

Food is always good at this family-style restaurant. Service is good, as long as you hail the waiters. Their dim sum is clean and consistent.

Place pickup order online. Order was successful and confirmed to be ready at 8:13pm. Posted hours say they close at 9:00. I walked to get the food from my hotel room to find they were closed early. Kept walking further away and found a good alternative that wanted to do business. Better call this restaurant before you place an order to make sure they are really open
