This was a 5-star dim sum eatery. They are high in price but the quality was always exceptional.During my latest visit, something changed. The lobako was flavorless, the Had Gow insipid and their once wonderful sticky rice was dull. I don't know what happened but they should fix it as soon as possible.
The House special sizzling fish in black bean sauce tasted great however, it was mostly parts of the fish I would throw away after filleting it; such as the tail and fins. It also seemed expensive ($23) for not getting a decent cut of fish. The steamed shrimp dumplings were a little dry but tasted good. The service was lacking as well.
Overall the dim sum experience was pretty descent at best. This is my second time here, first time being about five years ago where the wait was looonnggg! So this time time I arrived here, with a party of three, 7 minutes after opening which was 9:30am on a Sunday. Upon entering I noticed four other parties already seated. At China Red, you don't see the traditional cart pushing, where each cart would walk by each table telling you what they got, instead you get a paper...
