The ice cream flavors here are so creative! I tried the taro coconut combo and it was perfection. The staff was upbeat and helpful with samples. The shop is clean and has cute decor. A great family-friendly spot for dessert

Absolutely mind blown🤯 by the real flavor and time she dedicates to make a great ice cream. Deserves more traffic. 🙌 Vanilla Expresso Shake w chocolate n whip cream 🙌

Absolutely delicious, their milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard.

Meh. Flavors are interesting, but it's kind of a gooey consistency, similar to Coldstone. It felt a little expensive for what it was, and the service was acceptable but not super friendly.

What unique flavors !!! So glad we stopped by on a hot day . They had some amazing ice cream . We loved the guava !! It was our favorite . The lemon biscoff was really good too . Wonder if they have a stand alone store in la ? Maybe they will soon . For all you ice cream lovers that want unique flavors - come visit!

Nice place for coffee and ice cream. They have a happy hour special from 11:30am-1:30pm for an ice latte for only $4, but when we got it it was actually $3.50 so even better value. The coffee is good quality and the staff are friendly. They have free samples for their ice cream too.

A newly opened handcrafted ice cream kiosk at the Santa Anita Mall inside the food court. Not a huge selection of flavors, but their ice cream is creamy but not too rich or sweet. I recommend trying their hojicha and matcha oreo. The strawberry ice cream was needing a little bit more strawberry flavor though. They have $4 lattes during 11:30-1:30pm so can try their popular matcha lattes. My mom enjoyed their affogato

Holiday shopping just got a little sweeter (and more caffeinated🔋) for me with the perfect pick-me-up’s at Churnt Creamery, located at The Shops at the Santa Anita Mall (aka the motherland🤭) in Arcadia, California, in the SGV.

To start, they offer free lactaid pills AND ice cream samples of their 12 artisan flavors. If you’ve never tried croffles (Croissants heated up in a waffle maker!) before, then this is a great place to start with 3 choices of flavors. I opted with the Oreo and had no regrets, especially with a scoop of their Spring Berries🍓

If you’re a tea snob like me, you’ll be pleased to see that they offer both Ceremonial Matcha (first harvest Kagoshima matcha) and Hojicha (roasted Japanese green tea) options as drinks or a sweet treat🫶🏼

Very good espresso! I wanted a real latte. Not that powdery sugary drink that most specialty drink places offer. Pleasantly surprised by how good it was. You can see them make the espresso from the machine. Ended up getting a iced oat milk latte. Highly recommend.

This ice cream shop is a pop-up (probably permanent pop-up) in The Shops at Santa Anita. I loved the free sample they offered! The server is so generous in offering the samples. The croffle is the best we’ve had for a long time, warm and so yummy. I especially enjoyed the matcha and hojicha, both made with ceremonial-grade tea. The ice cream did not disappoint me either. Totally recommend for sugar craves!

Very generous scoops, as many samples as you want, and the people working there were extremely nice, patient, and helpful in explaining how the menu worked. They also allow you to have cones on the side.
Would definitely recommend ?

Located in the food court of The Shops of Santa Anita, so it's easy to find (a small kiosk in at the opposite end of the entrance of the mall) and there is plenty of seating.

There are just one or two people working anytime I visit but it moves quickly as it's just an ice cream stop. I like the creativeness of the flavors but I haven't quite found a flavor I love yet based on the ones that I've tried. My usual is their affogato with vanilla and cocoa powder.

It's great that they make their waffle cones fresh but there is always a hole at the bottom, so despite how quickly you attempt to eat your ice cream, it will inevitably make a mess when it leaks out on you, so be careful if you're wearing your fancy pants!

A plus that they offer complimentary Kirkland Lactase pills!

A negative that they don't offer any dairy-free desserts. My husband isn't lactose-intolerant. He just can't have any dairy because it causes massive inflammation with his arthritis, so being able to have something while the rest of us enjoy our dairy laden goodies would be nice.

So good!!! I have been here multiple times and always end up trying their different flavors. This time I went and had their Hojicha (Roasted Green Tea) Affogato and it was delicious. Perfect after a stroll around the mall! The whip cream on top was delicious as well. So glad this ice cream place exists and definitely recommend it if you are at the Santa Anita Mall.
