Food is BOMB
fresh chips/salsa, the Beria tacos are flavorful, the signature burrito goes crazy
Highly recommend. We need this place to have higher reviews
Not really authentic, it was not what I expected. The service is not great waiter forgot about us completely.
This is not good food, honestly its the worst food ive had at a restaurant in California. The fundido coagulated, the meats were completely dry, and the salsa verde did not taste good. Maybe don’t come here two hours before closing.
Not much good Mexican food around here. Casa Bonita in Pasadena is better.
Decent food and service. Could use an upgrade
Servers will go out of their way to assist you! Exceptionally customer service
Jorge and Lalo hooked me up 2$ crooked tacos. Great service, and those tacos are big ! Thanks for lunch on Tuesday!

The bar was jumpin', and I can see why, the drinks were good - and strong. Strong as you could want. You're gettin' your money's worth there. The chicken mole was not good. A nice piece of chicken, drier than dust. Oh, the salsa, thin and watery, really bad. Go for the drinks; you're good. Not anything else.

Chicken chimichanga was great. Chips and salsa were very underwhelming. Staff was nice, but a bit slow for not being very busy.

I recently went there for lunch with some coworkers. I ordered the Relleno Burrito and it came on a sizzling skillet like fajitas! The burrito was excellent! It was a big ole burrito and I couldn't finish it. My dining partners were all very pleased with their lunches as well, they had the tacos carbon, tostada, and combo with enchilada and a hard shell taco. Everyone was very pleased with the food and the service. Oh and the chips, salsa and bean dip (a nice original idea) were really good too. We will be back!

I recently checked out Don Ricardo’s for the first time, and I was a bit skeptical given its location in a mostly suburban area. However, it turned out to be a great find. The vibe inside was really nice, with old Spanish decor and solid Mexican music. The bar was really inviting and had plenty of TV’s and space.
The prices were a bit high, but the food was solid. I loved the cheese enchilada, though the ground beef taco tasted a bit like del taco . The rice and beans were delicious.
My sister ordered the shrimp à la Diabla, which was pretty spicy and came with tasty cilantro rice. They also had complimentary salsa, chips, and a good bean dip. Overall, I’d come back to Don!

$40.00 + worth of food and refused a Take Out container due to one of our party ordering off of the Taco Tuesday menu. Food & Service very good, Customer Service needs some work.

Sadly another same OL same OL mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. Food, drinks, service is nothing special. Better off at lousy Rudy's in Old town monrovia.
