It felt awkward walking in, and I expected an extensive selection based on pictures I saw, but the majority of the store was empty. I tried to communicate with the cashier, but she couldn't understand me. Mind you, I don't speak Mandarin, Cantonese, etc. I ordered one of the chocolate bread rolls, which was big and cost only $4.
When it comes to Asian bakeries, Dukes is definitely one of my favorites. Yes, the prices are a bit higher, but many of the breads are larger in size and I feel like they use healthier ingredients, which makes it worth it.

This is my favorite bakery. Every piece feels heavy in hand, and they all taste amazing with rich fillings. I used to visit the store in Rowland Heights frequently, and now that I’ve moved nearby, I’m so happy that I can enjoy it often!
