I think this place is a franchise but this particular store has the feel of a mom and pop shop. I'm not really used to a bubble tea store giving out samples but they do it here. They had both some cups with extra drink. We tried the mango yakult smoothie and it was really yummy. The owner even said they didn't add any sugar but somehow it was still pretty tasty and pretty refreshing as well. They had some bubble waffle bites on the side, too. They were really good. I could taste the batter and it had a good aroma of a properly cooked pancake. But it also had the crunchiness of a waffle with the way they used the grill plate. Suffice to say, it was so yummy that I had to order one for myself. You get a choice for a dipping sauce, although it's a little extra. I highly recommend the taro cream! The staff here was super nice and I would definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area or get a chance.

Decided to try out this new spot in Arcadia (it's where Ding Tea used to be on Baldwin). The shop is pretty basic inside, not that much different than Ding, just without the large flower decoration on the wall. One adult working there was polite, the other indifferent, and the teen working was almost rude. There were also two other teen employees (according to the shirts they were wearing) who were busy chatting with their friends and blocking the counter. After waiting several minutes, we finally asked them to move so we could order. If we weren't there to support a fundraiser, we would have likely walked out. For the drinks.....they only have soy as a milk alternative. At a time when almost everywhere else has almond and oat, this was disappointing. For this reason we stayed away from the milk teas. The passion fruit tea has a good flavor, but this is one of the tea places that, for some unknown reason, finds it okay to put inedible seeds in their tea. It is rude to have to keep spitting them out. All of their slushies are lemon based. Being that lemon is part of their name, that is one thing, but to have none without lemon? One member of our group did order a slush and couldn't finish it - she started getting acid reflux (not normal for her) because it was so bitter. The fruit teas were okay, but only average for the area. No one in our group found the boba to be good. Each of us thought it to be tough and tasteless. With so many other better options in the immediate area, only another fundraiser would bring any of us back here.

Cute little boba shop with many drink options and bubble waffles. Service was great. I got their ube milk tea with taro puff cream & boba and my friend got the Okinawa roasted milk tea w/boba and an Oreo waffle

The drinks are okay, I tried a few and the whole lemon green tea with honey possibly taste alright compared to all the others I tried here. I am very surprised though for the title of this shop, Happy Lemon and there no lemonade choice and the drink has to have a tea flavor in it, they do not give that option of no tea for customers, which is a bummer. I stopped in thinking it was a lemonade place and gave it a try. A lot of the flavors I find doesn't blend well for me, its just has a weird after taste. The waffle snack they have are good, but have to be eaten right away or its not very good once it gets cold, definitely not meant to be eaten later. The staff are hit and miss, some are friendly and some not so much from trying this place 3 times. There is a point online app systems you can sign up for if you want to sign up for to get a free drink once you reach the level of points. The location is not ideal, parking is free, but the lot size is tiny, sometimes very difficult finding parking. The atmosphere is small inside and the wait is very long whether its busy or not. Also, quite pricey, its $6 and up for majority of the items. There few restaurants and other snack places near this place too.Parking: Small spacing and easy to get in and out. Also on a busy street too.

After a great date, you never want it to end. That was how I felt after having a fabulous lunch with my daughter (it's only one sided btw). I tried to cajole her with boba to keep her hanging with me longer as she had plans with her friends afterward (I had plans with mine as well, just a bunch of middle aged single/divorced/separated/widowed/happily taken/taken moms chit chatting. haha). We decided to walk to Happy Lemon as it was just across the street from where we had lunch. Did you all know that jaywalking is now legal in CA as of 1/1/2023? Please tell me you don't know, as I didn't! My daughter informed me and I looked it up. Even though it was legal, I didn't allow us to jaywalk as it wasn't safe for us and for drivers as well. I made her play by the safe traffic rules and walk far to the street crossing lights. Teenagers these days are out of control. haha jk. I was worse when I was her age, but I play by a different set of rules now as I am a mom. As we safely arrived on foot-mobile to Happy Lemon, I was informed that this shop just recently opened. They also had waffles here and they allowed us to sample their waffles. It was good, but we were too full so we didn't order waffles. We ordered: - Large Passionfruit, Mango, Green Tea (My daughter's) w/100% ice, 50% sugar - Large Passionfruit, Green Tea (Mine) w/no sugar and to substitute with honey, 50% ice *Now looking at the receipt, I just realized they charged me $1 for honey. If I knew, I would bring my own honey. JK When the drinks came out, my daughter accidentally took my drink and she loved it. She said that was really good. I took a sip of "mine". I didn't taste any honey with "mine", but could taste the sugar. I then looked at the label and realized I got swapped. So we swapped back. She tried hers and it was a bit tart for her liking. She didn't say, but I could see on her facial expressions. I asked her how she liked her drink and she said it was good. I knew right then and there she wanted mine. I asked her if she wanted to trade. She asked me, "Are you sure?" (Hoping I would say yes). I said "no" (just because) She still robbed me of my drink. lol Very friendly service. Thank you! I really appreciate that they had sit-in tables and a one private stall restroom for customers. Many of the boba places these days take away those options and only allow to-gos, those are the places that I wouldn't return to support.

My friends and I came in at night after dinner. It was a cute small shop. They had different flavors of the bubble waffles for tasting. I'm not sure how long they had it out because it was already cold and stale when we tried it. The parking lot is really small so be mindful of that. I got the strawberry shortcake and I feel like it just tastes like a strawberry milkshake but it was still very good.

boba is good, definitely get boba with ur milk teas idk bout teas or fruit teas. i usually get the d13 which is milk tea and w boba it's good, on the sweet side bc it has brown sugar on the sides so prolly 50-75% sugar. customer service is good, precise and nice, patient.

I was so excited to see there was a Happy Lemon opening up close to me so without any hesitation, I chose this place to satisfy my boba craving over the other million boba places around. I remembered having the yummiest ube drink at a different location so I had high hopes for their ube with puff cream drink. Sadly though, it didn't quite do it for me, the ube was very faint and the puff cream did not add much to it. Overall tasted watered down. Their boba however, is really good, it's got the perfect consistency and amount of sweetness.

This is a new boba spot on Baldwin in Arcadia that replaced Cocofresh/Ding Tea. I wanted to try this spot because I saw that they also offered the egg waffles in different flavors like Oreos, Matcha and Boba. I highly recommend you eat the egg waffles there while it's fresh because if you take it to go and wait after 15 minutes, the heat ends up making it soggy. But if you're handy with the air fryer, then I think you can save it and make it fresh again haha! I tried ordering their top 3 drinks, Okinawa roasted boba milk tea, boba milk tea with puff cream, and the passion fruit mango green tea and all were very delicious. They even gave me a Happy Lemon keychain as a grand opening special if you spend over $20. The parking lot is a whole other ordeal though... if you go during lunch or dinner time, it will be hard to find parking. You can try to find street parking but sometimes the area is packed!

I have acrophobia. It means that I have an abnormal fear of high places; a morbidity towards heights if you will. It sometimes crosses over towards things I'm looking forward to as well. I place them on pedestals so high that they never seem to satisfy me. Maybe I should start fearing them instead of having high hopes. Since the hopes are so high, it would only make sense for my acrophobia to be triggered, right? Anyways, I had these same high hopes for Happy Lemon. With a name like that, who wouldn't? But I'm sorry to say, I was disappointed with my first experience here. It was enough for me to probably not make it back again, sadly. The drink I got was the Mango Lemon Slush. It started off on a bad foot as I was told I couldn't reduce the sweetness level. Okay, not a big deal, I guess. The drink looked delicious to the eyes, but when I tasted it, something was a little off. There seemed to be a weird artificial aftertaste that was kind of....absinthian. Maybe that's why you can't reduce the sweetness level, since the sweetness is replaced with bitterness? Whatever the case, it was difficult to get past this taste to even finish the drink. I guess that's why they say that bitter pills are tough to swallow.
