The High tea is the best friendly service we have experienced.
The head dessert chef made delicious mini sandwiches, beautiful desserts, and tea.
We celebrated mom's fun birthday, of course, with champagne.
I highly recommend High Tea Lounge at
Le Meridien in Arcadia.
I took my mom and abuela to this High Tea and had the most beautiful experience! First off, the ambiance of the hotel was very nice, quiet, and relaxed. I picked this location over other tea houses because it had the elegant look I wanted for my abuelas birthday. We all dressed up in cute dresses with tea hats and didn't feel out of place being dressed up here! When we arrived, they had our table sectioned off with privacy screens, it was a nice touch to make the experience more intimate! Our server was very polite and helpful! Most of all, the chef Layla came out to tell us what was on the menu for our tasting! Everything was absolutely perfect! The food is served in small bites, but don't be fooled, all 4 of us were so full we couldn't finish everything! Every bite was delicious, I was especially happy with the yuzu egg salad bites, so creative and perfect bright flavor! I'm 100% coming back for more, thank you so much to the staff for making it a memorable experience for me and my family!! Love it here 🥰🫖🍰
Great place right near our home for a Christmas tea with my mom who needs to use a walker. Great service and ADA accessible.
What a beautiful birthday experience, my boy friend absolutely loved it for his birthday brunch! On the house champagne and birthday dessert, love love loved it!
Service was good but the food was horrible. Nothing was prepared fresh to order. And still took 25 min to just assemble premade components. Everything was cold, either bland or too salty, overcooked, stale. Some of the items I couldn't even tell what it was because it seemed to have been reheated stored then reheated again. Seemed like they stored the food and took it out and threw it together on a tray. None of the sweet offerings seemed made in house, like they bought bulk macarons from Costco and gave one per person. No lining between the food and the porous wooden tray so not hygienic. For $68 plus 21% service charge this was ridiculous, a joke. It was shockingly bad. There were only 4 tea selections too. Worst tea time I've ever had.
The server was friendly but then very slow. I had to get up to go ask the bar tender for the check as we waited over 30 minutes without the server coming by. The afternoon tea menu was not like any afternoon tea I have had, Asian theme for Lunar New Year. The group all eats Asian food and yet we didn't even care for it. The deserts were also so plain, dry and we all left mostly uneaten.
Tea was lovely at Le Meridien. The seating was cute crushed velvet benches right near the windows so we could enjoy the rainy day. The food is very good. We selected three different pots of tea and there was definitely a favorite amongst us. We were there a long time without being rushed. The bar is adjacent to it so there are other groups that can get loud. It's a pretty open area though. The staff are all very friendly.
The ambience is wonderful and comfortable, but the food is subpar, and the service is extremely slow and spotty. There was a football game blaring on a large screen TV right in front of our couches.
Disappointed with the tea and food offerings. Service was good but overall not the experience we expected for the price we paid.
Hotel is beautiful. Very clean and modern. Rooms are lovely with a large window. Shower is large and very clean. The area is clean and safe. Bar service and drinks were great. Natalia at front desk is very friendly and helpful. I left my Stanley cup when we checked out and she sent it to me at home. Thanks for a great stay!!

Good atmosphere, locate at hotel lobby. Food and drink not impressive. Tea favor way too light. Iced tea drink no favor at all. Food tower feels like it's a combination of all different food from Trader Joe's/Wholefood and placed together on the tray tower. Many flys around the lobby and visiting our table for food, very disturbing. The only PRO of this visit because it's close in SGV, that's all. Won't go back again.
Above average 2-nite stay for a Marriott 4-star property which is definitely one of the newest in Pasadena. Was greeted properly as a Gold elite and front desk was nice and proactive in service. Room is on the smaller side but nicely decorated with some proper East Asian flavors (wood-ish drawers and closets). The bathroom area is fully opened(no door or shed) which could be bothering for some especially given the small size of the room, but overall clean and stylish. The breakfast at Melange is mediocre at best offering mostly egg options, and definitely not worth it for the price compared to sea of fantastic options around Arcadia. I usually tried to avoid mandatory valet properties at all cost but the valet company at the property was surprisingly responsive and polite, though came with that a $27 daily parking which was too high for the area(no self-park alternatives nearby). On the check-out day the housekeeping entered one of our rooms at 10am and started cleaning it despite approved 1pm late checkout requests and I had to awkwardly change and pack my clothes while the housekeeping cleaned the bathroom. Hopefully an one-off mistake but overall an enjoyable stay at a reasonable rate in LA metro.
I was extremely disappointment with my visit to your High Tea Lounge at Le Meriden. It fell short in several aspects. Firstly, the extended wait time before receiving our tea and food was frustrating. The quality of the food served was rather mediocre. The selection lacked freshness and most items were not up to the standard we had expected for the price. For example, the soup was cold, the pasties were icy in the middle, the fish on toast smelled so strong that it was unappetizing, the scones were thin and hard, the macaroons were chewy, and the chocolate covered strawberries were dipped in purple chocolate with green sprinkles. Despite having made a reservation in advance, it seemed to me that this tea was not made fresh and was presented to us with leftovers form the refrigerator. Also, upon receiving the bill, we were surprised by the presence of unexpected charges that were not clearly communicated beforehand. This left us feeling misled and dissatisfied with the overall pricing transparency. Lastly, when I contacted the manager, she wrote back a generic email and came off as uninterested in the quality of the food or our experience.
I was attending a nearby Pickleball tournament which was right across the street at the Tennis Center. The hotel is easy to find off the 210. Now the rooms were nicely appointed we had a great view of the mountains. The shower was a rain shower which I liked. Great selections for the TV. I kinda wished they had a place to sell beer and drinks you can take to your room They had a nicely appointed gym the pool was very small they had no hot tub. The bar area was very nice and so sociable. There was plenty of outside seating. Now the dinner was ok. The Caesar salad had little flavor and the extra bread I ordered was underwhelming and they just sprinkled olive oil it. The pieces were small. They were not prepared for anyone to ask for bread I guess. The fillet was good though and tender for $52.00. The breakfast had what I would say poor choice of wheat bread and potatoes were like those prepared types. Valet parking only at $27.00.
The overall experience was good. The food was my least favorite part. It needs more savory bites and sandwiches. More food in general would make the price per person worth it. There is an Asian twist to the “high tea” which is fine, but if you are going to serve a scone then clotted cream must accompany it. The scone was dry. The sweet desserts to savory should be more balanced. We had sugar overload. But I gave it an overall good experience because we were seated in a comfortable private area and the teas were delicious and most of the desserts were good. Also, there is an automatic 18% gratuity for a my party of two. We had to wait a long time for the tea and food and also we had to walk the check up to pay because our server infrequently checked on us.
