Similar products to another Asian cake store that I love on photos but everything here tasted like artificial chemicals and not real food.

They've got great deserts. The ingredients are fresh and the flavor is well balanced. I drove 30 mins here and it was totally worth it. To be honest this is one of the best I've had in LA.太特么好吃了,我日你妈,都给我来买

I was absolutely delighted by the treats I stumbled upon at this hidden gem of a bakery. Their desserts are a harmonious blend of classic flavors and innovative craftsmanship, and the three items I had the pleasure of tasting were a testament to their culinary artistry.First, the cheesecake was a masterclass in texture, it struck the perfect balance between sweet and tangy, and every bite felt like a little piece of heaven. Moving on to the puff, the crust was crumbly and buttery, encasing a soft and pillowy custard that simply melted in my mouth. Lastly, the pork floss roll was a delightful surprise. The soft bread with a slightly crispy exterior, paired with the umami-packed pork floss, was simply addictive. To top it off, the presentation was immaculate. The vibrant, eye-catching box of Mahjong tiles added a festive touch, making it clear that they pay attention to detail not just in their pastries, but in the overall customer experience. It's a place that celebrates culture with a modern twist, making traditional treats feel new and exciting.Whether you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth or indulge in a savory bite, this bakery is a must-visit.

October 2023 - Located within Duke Bakery. Small plaza with parking. Visited about 2 hours before closing time.Food/Pricing - Lychee Oolong Mille Crepe - $10.50 - The cake had a mushy texture, a bit like melted whipped cream. The flavor was okay but too subtle for me.For the price I expected something more but it was worth a try.

I stopped by JoMi on a Thursday to grab a cake and was surprised to find them almost sold out! I didn't know what to get so I just followed the people in front of me and got some crepe slices. It was more expensive than I wanted it to be ($10 a slice) but I figured I would give it a shot! The guy at the counter was super nice and recommended the best flavors out of what they had left. I grabbed the osmanthus per his recommendation and let me just say, don't let the cake visuals fool you!! It looks melty and covered in ranch but it was so delicious--fresh and flowery without being too sweet ;) and the jelly center was a nice surprise. The ube one surprisingly was my least favorite because it was slightly denser and.. basic.. and the chocolate honey came in second. Overall, I would def go and try their other flavors based on that single osmanthus slice!

This place shares a location w a other business and I only tried JoMi cake this time. I had a slice of the rose cake and the flavor was explosive. Taste was wonderful and very fresh. The business does not have anywhere to sit which would of been nice bcuz I was on my lunch break and would of been nice to eat there. The guy at the counter was very nice too and welcoming. Def recommend

Where is the durian and pork sung? JoMi Cake inside of Duke's bakery used to be good when it first opened, but the quality of cakes have clearly gone downhills. I was craving some cakes and decided to stop by this afternoon to pick up the popular durian cake ($18), and pork sung cake ($19), both individual size; the durian cake has less than little durian in the filling, not much durian taste, just lots of cream, the pork sung cake has sparing pork sung on the top, and again, lots of cream fillings. What happened JoMi Cake? Two thumbs down.

I've been seeing all these crepe cakes lately and wanted to try it so we stopped by JoMi Cake after reading all the great Yelp reviews! Very interesting dessert choice - I enjoyed their Rose slice. We came an hour before closing and their cases were pretty bare so our choices were very limited. We ended up going with two different slices of their Mille Crepe cake - the Rose and the Sweet Taro with Yam. The texture of both was smooth and supple - a slight chewiness to the crepe layers with a very soft creme in between - almost a little too liquidy but still a good texture - I liked it. The Rose flavor was decent - you could definitely taste the rose - a lot of times it's too faint but this was very good. Neither one of us liked the Taro slice - the flavor isn't there - it tasted almost like mashed potatoes and milk lol. There's a very strong milky flavor to their creme filling that is almost overpowering - that, and the price is why I'm giving 4 stars. These slices are very expensive imo - $10 each! And if you get them to-go, the way they wrap them destroys the cake slice when you get home - you'll loose tons of filling just trying to open it lol. Their menu lists other types of cakes - roll cakes, basque cheesecakes, waffle crunchy cakes and even some creme brûlée. I didn't see much of these in their cases but their website says they will make special orders. They're located in a shopping center inside the Dukes Bakery. There's not much signage on the outside - finding it can be confusing. I only knew where it was bc of other Yelp photos (TY Yelpers!!). It's a very open space - very empty. There's no inside seating - I feel like they're missing an opportunity here bc I think people would enjoy eating their cake on site - it's a nice ambiance. Would be a great place to hang out. There's plenty of parking and the staff are very nice as well. I'd definitely consider coming back and trying another flavor or other type of cake.

We drove a long way out to San Gabriel Valley to get this cake today, and I thought it was excellent. JoMi is located in Duke's bakery, in a strip mall in Arcadia. The one setback of this location is that it has no seating. I'm a big fan of mille crepe layer cakes, like Lady M, but I noticed JoMi had more unique Asian-inspired flavors, like durian and ube. They also have basque cheesecakes and cake rolls which both looked delicious.I decided to get the ube mille crepe cake, which had a strong ube flavor but wasn't overly sweet. It was very creamy and decadent though. I would definitely come back here to try their other desserts if it wasn't so far.
