After success with the jajiang noodles, I had to try the stall right next door. Inside the fantastic Hmart market, is Kazu Mori. I’d say Katsu is there specialty with pork and chicken. I had the pork tonkatsu with curry. Huge portions and so good. I actually thought I was a bit pricey bit after I saw the quality and portions, I reconsider. Also, not a Bricks and mortar saves a bit.I think the key is to get a bunch of people and order two or three items from each stall. The choice are fantastic.

This is such an underrated spot in H Mart. Not only are the katsus delicious, their portions are probably the biggest I've seen for under $20! I was only able to finish half of the chicken katsu and saved the rest for another day. It's literally 2 meals; you may have to make some extra rice for the 2nd meal though. Also, the 2 dipping sauces that they give are very good and I took turns dipping the katsu into each one.

I’ve had the chicken katsu curry here many times and I’ve never been disappointed. It has become a go-to.Portions are huge, service is quick, and the restaurant is conveniently located inside the h-mart.

Who would've thought that there would be such a great katsu curry place here in a bustling H-mart food court? The food court is filled with great options but my husband and I almost always end up getting our usual at Kazu Mori - the chicken katsu. The katsu is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not too heavily breaded or oily/greasy. The curry is flavorful with the perfect consistency. I love that they also give two additional sauces on the side - a katsu dipping sauce and a creamy sesame sauce. The sesame sauce is probably for the salad but we also use it for the katsu hahah. I also really like the pickled onions on the side; they go so well with the katsu for a little more tang and crunch! Portions are very generous, enough that my husband and I just order one item and we are happily full. Pro trip: when we go to H-mart to get our grocery shopping done, we first stop by Kazu Mori to put in our order. Then after paying for our groceries, our food is ready!

This is one of the restaurants in the Hmart food court. As locals know, the restaurants have changed over a bit over time. This one or at least this style food has been there for a long time. The people who work here seem to be Asian Americans on our visit. They were very nice. They were cranking out a lot of orders on Sat between 11:00-11:45 and the quality was still great. The katsu curry was presented/packed to go even though we ordered for here. Apparently the only difference between to go and for here is the bag and tray. The presentation/packing was a little surprising but worked well as having the curry on the side kept the katsu chicken really crispy and hot as it was fresh out of the fryer. The katsu curry was about $17 on our visit, which is a lot for this dish but probably about right for today's inflation. Further, they gave us a pretty good portion size, which makes u feel better about the price. Small eaters will definitely get two meals out of it.The daikon/onion was not the traditional red kind but instead the white type mixed with onion and was pretty spicy. Didn't use the salad dressing but looked like the sweet Japanese white type that many use for cabbage side salad. The side salad was hot since it was in the same box as the katsu curry. There was one other sauce, which appeared to be ton katsu, but we did not try that one either. The food court is typically busy to crowded on weekends and particularly during meal times. Consequently, it is often average to loud ambiance. The loud speaker over which they call it order number and restaurant name is very loud. Overall, the food court at Hmart is a great place for a quick and casual bite. Tables are a little limited, but u can usually find a spot even when they r busy. If u have a big group then it is better to get it up go and eat elsewhere because it will probably be hard to find a table and even if u get enough seats it will probably be rude to other families and customers with less people who will not be able to eat there. There is plenty of covered parking and open lot parking in the Hmart lot. Just park further and walk if they r super busy--it's not that far.5 stars, recommend trying, will come again.

Kazu Mori is located inside H Mart. Craving Japanese curry, my husband and I decided to come here for lunch on a Saturday, late afternoon. We arrived around 3:05 pm (a real late lunch) and ended up ordering:Curry Chicken, $17.99 prior to tax- All katsu sets come with rice, a side of miso soup and cabbage salad. Just as other fellow Yelp members had mentioned, this is quite a lot of food and more than plenty for 2 people to share. This meal is served with 2 large chicken cutlets that was fried perfectly and not oily. The curry is placed in a container on the side, which was nice and thick. But is a little spicy (I'm not much of a spicy eater but my husband is and didn't think it was spicy, lol). The cabbage salad was quite a large size and I like the sesame dressing that was served on the sided. ---------------------------------(Total= $19.83 after)After you order, you are given a number and your number, along with the name of the restaurant will be announced when your order is ready. However on the day of our visit, the PA system was not calling out the order numbers from Kazu Mori for some reason so my husband had to walk back a few times to ask if our order was ready since we were not sitting right in front of the restaurant (we sat in front of Kyodong Noodle). So we didn't get our food until after 25 minutes after paying for our order. I think it may have been ready sooner if had sat in front of the restaurant and watched for it to be ready (oh well, the food was still very good). Eating chicken katsu isn't something made for me to eat all the time but I do like Kazu Mori's katsu and their curry. I will definitely be back here again.

Ordered on Uber Eats for dinner one night and was so impressed!! Portions are massive, it's packaged incredibly well, and the food is delicious. We will definitely order from them again. We ordered two curry fish katsu plates, some edamame, and the cheese katsu appetizer. Their edamame is lovely - it comes with a spicy seasoning on it that has a perfect kick of heat and flavor. That cheese katsu was insanely good!! It's mozzarella wrapped in pork katsu and wow - that's the first time I've ever had that and it was over the top fantastic - definitely a new fave for me.Our curry fish katsu plates were absolutely enormous- they come with four giant pieces of nice pollock - yes FOUR - monstrous pieces of fish, as well as a large bed of rice and cabbage salad AND a cup of miso soup. All of it was wonderful. Their miso soup is SO flavorful. And the fish has a nice fish-to-breading ratio. The curry sauce that it comes with is heavenly!! It's a tad spicy but soooo good. Given the portions and the quality, prices are very reasonable. Next time we'll probably just order one plate and share bc it's so generous. They also package everything tighter than Fort Knox lol - I could tell that the Uber driver threw our bag around bc it was in total disarray but there were no leaks in anything - all the miso soups and sauces were air tight!! Great experience- highly recommend!

Kazu Mori is conveniently located in H-Mart in Arcadia, is a great spot for katsu and curry dishes. I personally made a quick stop before my grocery shopping. Perhaps a side benefit is it will help you spend less money at H Mart as I tend to overbuy especially when I'm hungry haha! The ambiance of Kazu Mori is very casual. I ordered the katsu curry with rice and had leftovers for a 2nd lunch because the portions are pretty large.

The chicken katsu was really good! We called ahead to pick up, and the food was still hot when we got home. We look forward to coming back. The portions are crazy big, it’s going to take some time to finish this plate.

Kazu Mori is a nice option for a fast meal when you are in the vicinity of H Mart in Arcadia. This katsu destination is located in the food court area of H Mart and is worth a visit. There are tables available for enjoying your selections in the store or you can order everything to go. We ordered the Chicken Katsu and the Curry Chicken. The chicken katsu included a generous fried chicken cutlet with rice, cabbage salad, and miso soup. The chicken was well prepared and very tasty with the accompanying sides. The curry chicken was the chicken cutlet smothering in a savory curry sauce. This dish also included the cabbage salad, rice, and miso soup. The chicken cutlet was large and tender covered with a really yummy curry sauce blanket. Yay! We really enjoyed our first visit to Kazu Mori. It is worth a visit to H Mart to try the goodies on the Kazu Mori menu.
