A nice and cozy mom and pop Japanese restaurant that has lots of options for a great value. The sushi is fresh and very tasty. They have a counter for omakase style dining too. The owner is super friendly and caring. Overall a great spot for a nice meal.

The chef was so kind but the sushi was not good. Personally I don’t recommend it. We had $10 a piece toro with no fat and blood vessels. I felt ripped off ?

Good quality food but smaller portion but that’s because they keep the price low. Can get lunch special for under $10 before tax and tips. Good if you are trying to keep fit. Don’t expect very good service because there’s only one waitress and have to wait a bit because there’s only one chef.

The price is very reasonable and the taste is good. Sushi rolls that can be eaten without rice are a good choice for those who control sugar. It's just that one person is too busy making sushi, so be mentally prepared to wait.

The space? Good — small, neat, clean.
The owners? Great — pleasant, caring about the place, professional.
The food? Amazing — fresh, flavourful, delicious!
You won't find many sushi places with THIS quality for THESE prices.

I was looking for a Japanese restaurant owned by a Japanese proprietor in LA. I arrived late, around 7:40 PM, and found only one table occupied. I hesitated to enter at first. However, right by the entrance, I saw numerous pictures of Olympian figure skater Mirai Nagasu on the wall, which reassured me. I ended up having $100 worth of sushi. Honestly, I have no idea how I'm going to sleep tonight with such a full stomach! While researching Japanese restaurants, I found that most cost over $100. It's quite a large amount of money. Ultimately, I spent the same, but you can adjust according to your budget. I recommend this restaurant.

Ordered the Rainbow Roll, Ringo Roll, 2 pieces of Sweet Shrimp, and a Yellow Tail Roll. The Rainbow roll has a beautiful assortment of seafood from tuna, salmon, yellowtail, halibut and shrimp. Each piece had good texture, and was well portioned. The Ringo Roll salmon was very good and interesting using dried apple to add sweetness to the fish. The sweet shrimp was soft and beautifully presented with the shrimp heads being fried separately as the other half of the dish; alternatively the shrimp heads could be offered as part of a soup. The Yellow Tail Roll was also a good pick that was very smooth. The atmosphere is very relaxed and peaceful here with a gradual pace of traffic coming through here. There is a shared parking in the rear of the building that is ample enough.

I used to come here often, but now the quality has plummeted. The Tang Yang chicken is not fried at all, it is cooked before or heated in a cooking bag, and the fried fish is not freshly made! ! ! ! Can this be considered Japanese food? Why would customers come out to eat if they don't serve it now?

The food tastes very ordinary. It feels like a Japanese country shop. It doesn't have the strange taste of sushi outside. It has a more original taste and the food is very fresh. You can brush it continuously.

I gave this place five stars because the food (which was quite good) was also a truly outstanding value for the price. My sushi mix plate had about 10 pieces of delicious, really good quality sushi for only about $15. My brother got a combo beef/tempura/sashimi platter for about $18 which was ENORMOUS and also quite good. Menu had lots of other authentic dishes (like chirashi sushi) which you don't often see at more touristy places. Overall a really enjoyable experience.
