2.50 stars + 0.25 stars for friendly service The food may be dirt cheap here, but you really get what you pay for. Food is really nothing to rave about, but I was hungry and just needed to get some grub. What I had was a two-entree plate (see picture) with: - Hainan Chicken, which was too cold and oily - Steamed Fish, pretty good and only thing I actually enjoyed (authetic Chinese-style meals are prepped to include the amimal's body, so seeing the fish tail is totally not a big deal!) - Chow Mein, It was good, but really oily too This was not my first place of choice to eat. I usually have passed on this spot when I'm at the Food Court and now I know why. Unfortunately, I don't think I will return here. For the $6 combo, it came with a free seaweed tofu soup.

I like this place because it's not too fancy. I liked the bowl and rice. I think the name was beef noodle soup.

Yummy food court food we don't mind traveling a little for once in a while! Owner is very kind and accommodating. We were able to get extra soup when we needed it. And they now offer boba milk tea for $1.75! It was tasty. Great place for a quick and affordable meal.

This long-running Chinese store has been serving over-the-counter fast food at affordable prices. Tucked in the corner of the President Square food court, this place served out many lunches during my many school weeknights. Along with its neighbor, this fixture is my to-go choice for already prepared to-go food. Compared to its competitor, this fixture usually offers more seafood options in the same generous offerings. The vegetable dishes here are less frequently seen, such as bitter melon and eggplants. The food here is noticeably less oily, and also carry chow mein as an option for your side. This cash-only place is worth it for a quick meal any time of the day.

I bought a one item combo for 5.99. I didn't eat it but my family member said it was the worst mapo tofu he has had and it was completely meatless. I thought it was worth the try but apparently not. With the name of Kung Pao House, I was expecting more.

Priced too high for the food provided compared to other scoop and serve shops. $6.98 for 3 items and $1.99 any addt'l items. Decent food. Didn't speak much English so I didn't know what were some dishes.

food is really cheap so I give 1 star. food was not great. some taste fresh and some taste okay . some had more flavors than others . not sure if I should complain, but I should expect it from a Chinese food restaurant. .fried rice was plain and brown color .chicken was tender and some taste good bc of flavoring , some was a bit too plain .tofu and fish was a rip off , barely 1 piece of fish . it was a small stingy scoop. tasted like a soy sauce without the salty flavor . very bland . I felt like trying 2 drinks. and was really disappointed. it was a waste of money . water would have been more satisfying and I would have upset stomach filled with acid . milk tea- was orange color and tasted like instant milk tea. paid 2.50 $ I could have bought a jigr.oack at market for 3$ handmade myself 20 cups passion fruit juice - literally tasted like corn syrup with some concentrated flavor of passion fruit . and was charged 2$.

Pretty good Chinese food for a cheap price. Definitely beats dollar Chinese food places like Panda Express.

This place is located inside the President Square food court near 99 Ranch Market. They serve authentic Chinese food with affordable price. The service is friendly. The food is so delicious. I tried almost every dishes, and hot n sour soup is a must have. You should give it a try if you come in to this food court!

Think of this as a Chinese fast food, but with tasty food and at a great value. The lady who runs it is very nice and generous in the portions. Just be nice and smile. Everything they serve has taste and not bland. I recommend the glazed shrimp as this would run easily $11 at a restaurant.

I wish i had checked the reviews. I thought hmmm it sure could not taste as bad as it looks... i got the two item combo, the food is bland and not even hot. Not good at all.

For the longest time, Kung Pao House is the uglier, less popular step sister of Hsin Hsin Shau May next door. But no more! After closing for some times to do some remodeling (?) they've reopened. And I have to say, whatever they did behind closed door helped! The food looks more vibrant and seems fresher than the one next door. And it is definitely tastier. I order the same thing as I would next door, the chicken with green onions, stir fried eggs, and a veggie dish, and I gotta say, I'm pleasantly surprised *slow clap* . Shau May, you better step up your game.
