The best donuts I’ve tasted in LA! So soft and beautiful.

The #1 apple fritter ever. It's 100% worth it to get there as soon as it opens for a fresh, warm apple fritter. I was a local police officer for about 10 years and this was such a nice, once-a-month treat on night shift to get there at opening time. The owner is a very nice man and gets there every morning at about 3am to work his magic. If you're in the area, you gotta go at least once.

The Donuts are good but it’s a bit too sweet, service was good and quick.
Fantastic donuts. You need to come early, like before 7am to get some as they sell out fast. The owner is amazingly friendly and helpful
Best donuts in LA/Arcadia.
Owner is super nice and affable. He sold out an hour before I came but still offered to make a new batch. Bc he is so beloved he is constantly chatting with customers (better not to go if you’re in a rush). I don’t like apple fritters and truly the best I’ve ever had. Dough is lightly fried. Icing is light and not too sweet. Apples were al dente and not mushy. You gotta go early bc they easily sell out two hours before closing.
I always notice this shop when I drove by, but it was always closed. I was being curious, and found out that this donut shop only opens a few hours a day. Out of curiosity I stopped by around 6am, and there were 4 people (including myself) getting donuts. The owner was very friendly, and he asked what brought me here. I told him that I was curious about the donut, and his hours interested me. A lady behind me recommended me to try their apple fritter, and I got it. The owner shared the story about this donut shop with me briefly, and it is a very touching story. He is very personable to his customer. Owner suggested that I can message him if I would like to order donuts for future. I have never been to a donut shop that provides this kind of service.
The Apple fritter is very fresh, soft, not overly sweet, and tasty! It will be perfect to pair with coffee. The owner gave me a printout about this donut shop. I will continue to support.
Street parking is available.
The BEST most BESTEST donuts! They are the ultimate bomb. Get there early, they were sold out by 8:45am on a Tuesday. Haven't tried the apple fritter yet.

Out of donuts 7 AM Sunday morning.?
Judgmental jerk.
Overpriced donuts
Cash only.
Plenty of other donut shops around to choose from.
The donuts were very doughy. I wasn't such a big fan. The person behind the counter had a really nice attitude, was funny and kind but unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back. On the bright side. For $20 dollars a dozen donuts... they are massive but you may have to microwave them a bit to get a better taste.
Passed by Monarch Donuts dozens of times without giving it a second thought. Some good press about the apple fritter and, more importantly, the good works of the owner moved us to stop by. We were not disappointed. The fritter is light, not overly sweet, and delicious. Moreover, Jonathan the owner is a humble, warm, and welcoming man. He truly made our day. Thank you, Jonathan.

As a faith-based business occupying what was once home to a tailor Monarch Donuts is another example of “do not judge a book by its cover,” owner Johnathan Ung’s tiny space working on three key principles and greeting guests from 5am until selling out daily.
“Do your best, be kind and love your mother” recited to a woman in line, a seemingly simple list to most, Monarch’s flavors eschew fancy in favor of old-fashioned excellence whether one selects a soft cake cogwheel or a yeasted ring topped by glaze and crunchy Streusel.
Low priced in comparison to LA artisans, though certainly not lacking for quality when biting into the Chocolate and Maple mix atop soft fried Dough, early arrival will be necessary to snag an Apple Fritter loaded with Fruit amidst a pillowy matrix beneath Cinnamon Glaze.

Place closes long before 9am, tried multiple times and always sold out. Please change hours!
