We had a great dinner at Opus Sushi and were really impressed by how fresh everything was. We ordered the sushi & sashimi set, live Pacific lobster, uni + ikura oysters, and cherry stone clams — all super sweet, clean, and nicely presented. The yakitori was also surprisingly good, especially the Kobe beef, lamb chop, and sweet shrimp. Salmon carpaccio, rolls, and baked mussels were all solid too. Service was friendly and portions were generous. Overall a really good spot if you love sashimi and seafood.

came to Opus Sushi on a day when life felt a little overwhelming, and this place truly lifted my mood.
The sushi was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of clean, comforting flavors.
The uni oyster and the Kobe beef were standouts, and the overall attention to detail made the whole meal feel special.
Service was quick and warm, and the atmosphere felt calm — perfect for a quiet, relaxing dinner.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Opus Sushi truly deserves it. From start to finish, everything was amazing. The ambiance is modern yet cozy — perfect for date night or dinner with friends. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and you can tell they really care about the details.
The sashimi itself? Absolutely incredible. Every piece was so fresh it practically melted in my mouth especially their uni and lobster. Their hot dishes are good as well. I also tried a few of their signature rolls, and they were full of flavor without being over-sauced like some other places.
Drinks were great too — the cocktails were refreshing and creative.
Overall, Opus Sushi is a total gem. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the experience. I’ll definitely be back soon — highly recommend! 🍣🙌

🍣 Sashimi bowl was loaded — bluefin otoro + akami, buri belly, uni, and sweet shrimp. The otoro was buttery, the uni sweet, everything super fresh. Paired with radish and shiso, the whole bite felt really balanced.
🌟 Otoro tartare + uni sushi was unforgettable. They give you roasted seaweed on the side so you can wrap it yourself — creamy, sweet, melt-in-your-mouth kind of bite.
🦞 Lobster sashimi had that crunchy-then-chewy texture, and the sweetness comes out more as you chew. The little crab roe on top gives a fun pop.
🍜 Uni asparagus noodles were clean and refreshing — great after all the heavy hitters.
🍢 Yakitori was cooked perfectly: a little char outside, juicy inside. Definitely pairs well with a drink.
The uni side order was super fresh too — smooth and no funky smell at all.
We also tried two signature cocktails — one bright orange, one sky-blue. Both cute, both tasty… no idea what the base liquor was though 😂
Overall: totally worth the hype. Would come back.

Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

Opus Sushi is a hidden gem in Arcadia! Don't let the modest exterior fool you—the quality here is exceptional. The Toro & Uni Bowl was pure magic, with melt-in-your-mouth fish and briny-sweet uni. We also loved the extensive yakitori selection, especially the juicy Kobe beef tongue, and the incredibly rich Uni Pasta.
The owner's dedication to freshness is evident; you can taste it in every bite. The vibe is low-key yet sophisticated, perfect for a genuine meal. It's a top-tier sushi experience without the pretentiousness. An absolute must-try for sushi lovers! Highly recommend.

This place specializes in uni. Everything was fresh and delicious. My favorite is toro & uni bowl, and deluxe chirashi.
Don't sleep on it, this place's food is so worth the pride which is not even that bad. Salmon Ikura bowl anywhere else would short you on the salmon. They give so much salmon, Ikura, AND 2 scoops of spicy fresh fish. Salmon Collar is solid. Rolls are solid.

Sashimi Platter- this was absolutely incredible with such a huge variety of fish! Every piece was cut thick and perfectly, and you could immediately taste how fresh everything was. The selection included multiple types of tuna, yellowtail, salmon, and several other fish I hadn't tried before. Each piece had this buttery texture that just melted in your mouth. The presentation was beautiful too, and you could see the quality and care that went into preparing each piece. The fish had that perfect sashimi texture - firm but tender, with no fishy taste whatsoever.
Udon- the noodles were perfectly chewy with that ideal texture. The broth was rich and flavorful, and you could taste how much time went into making it from scratch. Such a comforting dish that paired really well with all the sashimi.
Grilled Miso Seabass with Sashimi- this was so good! The seabass was perfectly grilled with that amazing miso glaze that was sweet and savory. The fish was flaky and tender, and the miso added this incredible depth of flavor. Having it paired with fresh sashimi was such a nice contrast between cooked and raw preparations.
Clam Sashimi- this was my first time trying clam sashimi and it was amazing! The clam was so sweet and had this perfect briny flavor from the ocean. The fish roe on top added this incredible pop of saltiness and texture that complemented the clam perfectly. Such a unique and delicious combination.
Live Sweet Shrimp- these were incredibly fresh and sweet! You could taste how recently they were caught. The texture was perfect - firm but tender, and the natural sweetness of the shrimp really came through.
Toro Uni Bowl- this was so rich and flavorful! It was really fun to DIY it into little hand rolls with the nori they provided. The toro was buttery and melted in your mouth, while the uni added this creamy, oceanic flavor. Making your own hand rolls made it interactive and even more enjoyable.
Wild Aji- this was delicious! The aji had this clean, fresh flavor that was different from the other fish. You could really taste the quality and freshness.
Mexican Roll- this fusion roll was surprisingly delicious! The flavors worked so well together and showed their creativity with traditional sushi ingredients. The sushi rolls here are very flavorful and well-balanced.
What I love about this place is how much they focus on fresh ingredients. The owner mentioned that she goes to Santa Monica every morning to stock up on the freshest fish possible, which you can definitely taste in every bite. They even have weekend specials based on what's freshest that day, which shows their commitment to quality.
This Japanese restaurant really stands out for their dedication to freshness and quality. Every piece of fish was outstanding, and you can tell they take pride in sourcing the best ingredients possible!

Opas Sushi is one of those places that looks simple from the outside but surprises you once you sit down. The menu is full of high-quality options that really stand out.
Favorites:
The sashimi platter comes with generous cuts, super fresh and full of flavor.
The udon soup is clean and light, yet the noodles are perfectly chewy — it could almost steal the spotlight from the sushi.
The miso sea bass is tender inside, crisp outside, and perfectly seasoned.
Plenty of parking in the plaza. A great spot in Arcadia if you want excellent sushi without the unnecessary flash.

The atmosphere here is very understated — nothing flashy from the outside, but once the dishes arrive, the quality speaks for itself. Everything is incredibly fresh and refined, definitely among the top ingredients you can find in this area.
Highlights:
Grilled Miso Sea Bass – beautifully charred outside, tender and buttery inside.
Toro Uni Bowl – fun to DIY into little hand rolls, rich and flavorful.
Wild Aji – unbelievably fresh, and the bones are fried into a crispy snack.

Used to get delivery here all the time but last couple orders, quality down the drain. Tuna I couldn't finish because tasted off & no surprise made me sick the next day. New manager owner I don't know. Will not be giving it a 3rd chance. Shame.

Hidden gem in Arcadia! From the outside Opus Sushi looks very simple, but the food really surprised me. Everything was super fresh and well prepared.
We tried the uni pasta (rich and creamy, not fishy at all), sweet shrimp sashimi (so fresh, shrimp head fried until crispy), scallop with uni & caviar (perfect combo), toro & uni bowl (melt-in-your-mouth), grilled beef tongue, sashimi set (generous thick cuts, especially toro & uni), and baked green mussels (9 pieces, great value).
Menu changes daily depending on fresh ingredients, which I love. Around $100+ per person after tax, but totally worth it. Definitely one of the best sushi spots in the area!
