I should really give them one star, but people seem to like the food, although I don't think I'll ever know. Yesterday I went to order and at 1:30 they said they were closed, even though the door was open. They said they had too many orders, but they don't close until 2:30. Finally, she agreed to take my order, but then said they only accept cash and I didn't have enough with me. Today, I went earlier, 1:00, and had cash. They said they'd take my order, but it wouldn't be ready for over an hour. So I asked when is a good time to go. They said they're always busy, but maybe I can call. But they don't have any to go menus and they barely speak English. Not sure how that's supposed to work.

Lobster salad is one of the best seafood dishes. It's cooked lobster over a bed of fruit salad and mayonnaise. Dong Po Pork (pork belly and book choy in dark sauce) is a great protein dish. Chai Po Dan (scrambled egg with radish) is a signature dish great for adults and young children. Bamboo dipped in mayonnaise and honey is a great appetizer. Cold cook squid in chili ketchup-y sauce is another great appetizer. Please support local businesses.

Me: I would like to order lunch special. Fishing Boat: we don't have lunch special. then hang up the phone. Me: call back, I would like to order. Fishing Boat: I told you we don't have lunch special. Me: Yes, I know. You just told me and hung up the phone & I couldn't order. Fishing Boat: OK, WHAT DO YOU WANT. BAD ATTITUDE.................

I grow increasingly impressed with this place each time. The first couple times were good, but this last time was excellent. The chef really showed their talent through their uniqueness and versatility. I love and highly recommend their steamed black cod and prawns. The service has always been spot on, so huge plus for that. The location seems to be a little out of the way from all the busier, more popular plazas. They have their own small parking lot which seems to provide ample spaces.

Food is great, fresh and clean. Flavor is ok, not so authentic but not bad. Service is No, especially the short hair waitress ( I guess she's the lady boss). We ordered something first, and then add some dishes after 10-15 mins. After the first time we ordered, she looks like really unfriendly. Then, during the whole service, other waitresses are super nice, only she's kinda mean.

Definitely would not come again! Not only are their dishes overpriced in their own right, they give small portions. I ordered their intestines as well as kidney and tofu. The kidney's sauce was a bit too watery, the intestines were way too sour for my taste and the tofu was too sweet. The rice is also priced by each bowl you order.

Great authentic Chinese food. Their steamed cod is the best! It always super fresh and perfectly seasoned.

Much respect to this restaurant! They were closed but still took my order to go and pick up. I've never been there before but I will now beacon to go because everybody was so kind and the food was definitely above average very good! The menu is interesting because it has a lot of food I remember from back home when I was a kid. Like boneless bangus! Wow I can't believe they had this fish. If you don't know what this fish is, it's basically milkfish and it has a ton of Bones so when it's boneless, that's freaking awesome! Anyway, you can find this all over southern California many Filipino markets and I think it is actually considered the main fish of the Philippines. I think? At least that's what I used to hear when I was a kid. Well, good to know that there is a Chinese/Taiwanese places are carrying this kind of fish now too! There were some other dishes on the menu that also reminded me of my childhood so definitely I will be coming here more and more often!

This place is amazing. The servers are very kind and the food is great. I usually don't leave reviews but this place is has great authentic Chinese dishes and is very clean. Even the restrooms are clean (some other restaurants aren't).

Came here for dinner and the food did not disappoint. It is a very authentic Chinese restaurant in the SGV. Obviously based on the name you have to order the fish. We ordered the fish and the veg. It was reasonably priced and I would come back again. Parking was easy, and the staff was on top of it.

Been here 3 times now for dinner and I have to say it's one if the better restaurants in the area offering traditional Taiwanese food. They offer a wide variety of dishes including seafood options. Keep in mind that it can get kinda of noisy but if you're Asian that shouldn't he a problem. Services is great (on par with big banquet restaurants) and they even give you fruit at the end of your meal. Overall 9/10. Also you have to try the fried oyster and chicken soup.

I would have never thought to come to this restaurant had my godmother not brought me. Super tiny restaurant, with all regulars that dine in. You must get the BLACK COD, SESAME BREAD, and the STIR-FRIED VEGETABLES w/ GARLIC A CHOY. Now that I know it's so close to my house in El Monte, i'll definitely be coming back again for dinner. ENJOY!

I absolutely adore this taiwanese restaurant! The owner and the staff are very friendly and I am quite sad that this place isn't as busy as they deserve to be! The food is exceptional for its price and guaranteed quality as well as authenticity. feel like they deserve a lot more business so I hope this review can manage to draw in more customers. The only downer about this place is that it is a mandarin speaking environment that can probably handle basic english and/or cantonese. I am not a mandarin speaker myself but I am lucky enough to have mandarin speakers with me every time i'm here! I highly recommend the steamed black cod (or something along the lines of this name as i just directly translated this from cantonese) this fish is the reason I constantly come back here with my family.
