This Sunmerry is located inside the Santa Anita Mall, which makes it a convenient stop when I'm out shopping. They offer all kinds of Asian breads, donuts, bagels, and cakes. They also have boba teas and my favorite--bubble waffles.
The last time I was here, after purchasing a few items, I asked for a cup of water. The staff member said there would be a $0.50 charge for the cup. I hesitated because I didn't expect to have to pay for it, but in the end, he gave me one for free. That was very nice of him. For others, just keep in mind that they do charge for the cup if you ask for water.
Currently, they're running a promo for $1 egg tarts, which is a great deal. So if you need a break from shopping, this is a nice spot to grab a quick boba fix and a sweet treat.

Terrible experience. Purchased three desserts earlier today and two of them were already spoiled. The coconut yogurt had visible mold, black dots on the inside of the lid. This is unacceptable and a clear sign that they are selling items without properly checking or rotating their shelves.
I called multiple times to inform them, but no one ever answered the phone. We ended up having to drive back to return all three items. Terrible service and terrible resolution. Their lack of quality control and customer care is extremely disappointing.

Really nice bakery that has a huge selection of delicious and affordable pastries. They are all individually bagged for convenience and there are lots of sweet and savory options. They also have drinks, cakes, and Melo Melo jelly as well.

I'm not sure if I got here on a bad day. I ended up getting about a dozen different pastries and most were dry. Some tasted ok.. but they were all very disappointing. And the portions are tiny when compared to the prices. Id find it very difficult to recommend this bakery, but again, it might have been a bad day.

I bought breads and a Mango Matcha blended drink. I found plastic bits in my drink. I tried calling them since I didn't notice it immediately. They don't answer phone calls, and their mailbox is full, so you can't even leave a message. Contacted their corporate customer service, so I'm waiting for a reply from them.
Update: spoke with customer service via email over the last few days. I was told they alerted the store manager at this location. Got my refund for the drink.
