We arrived at around 6:30pm on a Saturday and found it to be pretty empty. They seemed short staffed. Food was slow getting to us. A little pricier vs other Japanese restaurants. Menu lacks pictures for easy ordering. Bento boxes start at $20. Unaju Donburi portion was small for $24.Parking: Entrance to the restaurant from the rear parking lot is available.

So Glad Sushi Tengoku is open after a few months of it being closed. This is our "Go To" Sushi spot in Arcadia! The service is great and very friendly. Come one come all. Support our businesses in Arcadia. It won't disappoint!!

Overall pretty solid sushi joint. The sushi was tasty and they had some pretty unique rolls. Definitely recommend the HYE sushi, alba alba, and Tsuri roll. There's a tiny lot in the back otherwise you would need to parallel park on Huntington!

Honestly, this place is great, but needs a lot of help and could use improvement, but I give them 5 stars because they are a hard working business and I go here with my family regularly(monthly). The best item IMO is the Salmon Citrus Roll for sure! If you're a salmon lover, youll love this. Great flavor and the citrus isnt too strong.

Too expensive for what you get. Similar places offer the same food for half the cost nearby.

Really good sushi and the service was excellent. The kids loved the Katsu, everything was made fresh and tasted amazing.

(+) Spicy salmon crispy rice Sushi Tengoku is a sushi restaurant that also serves main Japanese dishes for the whole family to enjoy. My wife and I were craving sushi and decided to give it a try because of the variety on their menu. Food: We both ordered bento boxes, which come with a choice of salad, tempura/gyoza, and 2 sushi rolls (8 pieces per roll). It was a lot of food that we couldn't finish. I enjoyed my seaweed salad and my wife enjoyed her refreshing cucumber salad. I chose the vegetable gyoza because why not and it was surprisingly tasty and had a burst of flavor. For the rolls, I elected with the salmon roll and yellowtail scallion roll. Our complaint is the fishy taste of the salmon on a few bites and some of the sushi rice was undercooked. My yellowtail scallion roll was just okay because there was too much sesame oil that I could taste it in every bite. We also ordered the spicy salmon crunchy rice. That was our favorite thing of the night. Ambiance: Pretty casual and plenty of TVs to enjoy the local/national sports games. The restaurant was well lit and a comfortable environment. Service: We were standing at the hostess table for five minutes before a waiter directed us to a table. Pretty long in my opinion. Otherwise, the service was good. Overall, I would recommend sushi tengoku for the menu variety. I wish the fish tasted fresher and some of the recipes need some adjustment. Otherwise, it would be a fun place to enjoy sushi.

came here because of the good reviews but turned out to be very disappointing..1. Food took almost an HOUR to come and there were only 2 other tables which already had their food and two chef working so I don't understand how it could've possibly taken that long. Didn't even get the miso soup until like 30 minutes after we ordered. 2. Food taste wise was okay...miso was too salty and had NO SEAWEED, mushroom udon soup had a weird sweet taste and the udon wasn't even authentic udon it was thinner and less chewy, gyoza was mehonly thing that was good was the tempura, cucumber salad, and snow crab roll3. My table was not told that a 20% tip would automatically be charged on the bill as it was in very fine print on the menu. The waiter was very nice was okay with reversing the bill but the chefs not so much and they refused Overall probably the worst sushi restaurant i've been to and would never come back

Food took an hour even only one or two tables.Food very salty & terrible service - charged 20% 6 persons or more with super small print on the menu& waiter did not advise us to add on the Visa card not shown on the bill.Do not ever want to go back. Terrible Arcadia sushi restaurant. It is not worth to go at all. A big thumb downIt will close down next 3 to 6 months .

Just arrived in Arcadia for a conference and needed to do Lunch. I was greeted with a smile and seated right away. The host was wonderful and explained the selections. I got an iced green tea & the Salmon Donburi. The place has 6 large screen TVs around the walls.
