I always enjoy dining at The Derby. Whoever trains the staff deserves a gold star. It is always a perfect meal from the receptionist to the servers. We especially appreciated Johnny on this last meal. Also the busser that came to clear the table and pack our leftovers was amazing.
Great place for all celebrations or a date night. Beautiful dining rooms with a fireplace and corner booths. Decor and brick add to the beauty of this place. Friendly staff.
I always love going to The Derby because it has such a warm, cozy and welcoming vibe. Plus, the food never disappoints - just a classic, good ol' fashion steakhouse with satisfying steak, hearty servings and tasty flavors. Everyone I've taken to this restaurant has had only great things to say, and it's a guaranteed good time. This last visit on Sunday 11/30 was no exception...Except the experience this time was further elevated with the host on duty this late evening. We were so impressed with this young man that I actually called the restaurant two days later to find out his name and make sure to mention him on a review. Shayden is one of those people you would hope to interact with anytime you step into a place of business, where customer service matters. In today's times when it's becoming increasingly rare to find genuinely pleasant people (a lot of times you go to places and they don't even know the basics of human interaction, let alone fundamentals of service), Shayden was warm, friendly, welcoming, accommodating, smiling (infectiously so, even), knowledgable, helpful, and super professional all the way. He even helped change our table to the one we saw, preferred and pointed out to him after we were already seated. Such a wonderful experience, and more so memorable, because of this young man. Sadly it's not something you see more of these days, and I'm so glad The Derby is fortunate to have him there. Thank you again for a beautiful evening, we will be sure to visit again!
exceptional service frm our waiter Johnny and staff! thank you for the wonderful bday celebration! it meant alot to us! we enjoyed our time w all of you! The prime rib, onion soup, lemon drop martini, and banana foster were top notch and delish!!!
Heavenly perfection as always. The best. The staff are such gems. What a joy of a restaurant. The food is top notch like no other.
Always excellent service and food. We've only ever been on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and are impressed at how friendly the staff is even on holidays. It's becoming a tradition for us.
Thanksgiving is probably not the best time to go, as it was very busy, very noisy and there was a very long wait for the food to arrive. The service and food were, as usual, good. I have eaten there many, many times over the years.
A favorite restaurant of ours. Convenient location, comfortable setting, menu that has something for everyone, friendly and efficient team members and prices that are reasonable.
Our family went for Thanksgiving dinner, and it was amazing. Wife had the turkey dinner (tender and perfectly cooked), son had the ham (cooked perfectly) and I had the prime rib (great choice). We got the crab cakes and spicy meatballs for appetizers (highly recommend). All of the food was amazing. I can say, the crab cakes are probably the best I've ever had. The cheesy bread is definitely the best we've ever tasted. Our server, Patrick, was very attentive, polite and friendly. He really added to the experience.
James was our server and he was excellent. We had Thanksgiving reservations and the food was amazing and such great ambiance.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner at the Derby and really enjoyed it. Those of us who ordered the turkey had plenty to take home for sandwiches the next day. The sides, yams, mashed potatoes, beans and stuffing were very good. One guest had the New York steak and was very happy. Grandma had shrimp scampi- her favorite! The meal closed with espresso and pumpkin pie. We were all thankful for the Derby.
We enjoyed what was probably our last meal at this location of the Derby, and it was a showstopper! We had great service from Luciano, awesome food with generous portions, all the garlic bread we wanted, and all the time we needed - even though it was Thanksgiving.
Very loud while 30+ party celebrated their event. Afterwards it was what we always expect from the Derby, moderate to low noise level and attentive service.
Our dining experience was top notch. The Derby is a great place to celebrate a birthday and the value for money is outstanding!
Was in the area for a wedding and was looking for good food for my daughter's birthday the next day. The reviews and menu looked good so we decided to give their Sunday Brunch a try; it was so much better than expected. They acknowledged my daughter's birthday upon arrival and even had a cute birthday sign on the booth right in front of the fire place for us. Ambiance was cool, dark, vintage aesthetic with horse/derby SeaBiscuit memorabilia and paintings. Food was excellent and the service, exceptional! Will definitely go back for dinner!
