My now husband and I had the absolute honor and privilege to host our rehearsal dinner / welcome party for our wedding at Alchemy a few weeks ago. Steve and Amy went above and beyond with every aspect for our event. Their communication, care, and commitment to making this an evening to remember was so appreciated. The process was so easy with the two of them and the night turned out spectacular! A beautiful venue, beautiful people, and amazing drinks.. That pineapple Boldt Whip tho! 😋
We were also blessed by the old Kyoto sushi squad, their food was to die for! They made the best vegetarian and non-veg sushi I’ve ever eaten and each piece was curated so beautifully. I haven’t stopped craving the delicious tuna poke and marinated bell pepper nigiri.
Our guests are still raving about the party. We cannot say enough to properly express what a gem Alchemy is and cannot recommend them more for your private events. Thank you Amy, Steve, and Kyoto team! ♥️

Amy and Steve are by far some of the most incredible humans, and the space they created shows this. I met the two of them when I attended the local university and instantly fell in love with the space they created. While I haven't seen their new space since I haven't been back since their new grand opening, the distillery will always have a place in my spirits collection. I can't wait to go and experience their expanded location, and you shouldn't wait either. They only bring the best up to bat, so I can say without a doubt that everything from the spirits to the food will be top-notch.

Amy and Steve's hospitality is unmatched and the tasting room they built is beautiful. Their love for their business is present in every little detail, from glassware made of their recycled bottles to the hexagon-shaped bar that matches the shape of their logo.
The pop-up kitchen takeovers are always wonderful. Each guest chef has options that work for a wide variety of dietary preferences, including gluten-free and vegetarian, and Amy creates delicious cocktails (or mocktails) to match the theme. It's so fun to try cuisines that aren't really represented in our local restaurant scene, such as Puerto Rican or Hmong food.

The tasting room is a wonderful experience and a must stop if you are in Arcata! Alchemy’s craft spirits are rich and full of flavor. You can taste the craft, the dedication, and love that goes into what they do. Great aesthetic in the tasting room and consider yourself lucky if you get to experience their pop up kitchen with guest chefs plating up uniquely delicious food. Pair that up with one of their signature craft cocktails and oh mama you’ll be signing til the cows come home! Cheers!

Was looking forward to the opening of this place after following the construction process online. Didn’t disappoint! Have gone to a couple of popup food events and the drinks and atmosphere are great. The fold-open front with heaters is perfectly comfortable even on a February evening. Recommend.
