I ordered the huevos rancheros. It had one tortilla under the eggs which is not a good interpretation of huevos rancheros. Basically eggs with salsa and beans. The amount was indicative of shrink flation. Do not order this.

Awesome ! Stopped in from out of town after I saw other reviews. Staff is exceptional! I was being gutsy and trying something new and I didn’t like. Waitress was a doll and made me something else! Local food local community board. ? Arcata local breakfast! We will return!

Heard about this place from vegan/vegetarian/omnivore relatives. They raved about the food. Pretty underwhelming honestly. Went with my daughter. We both liked the atmosphere and the servers were great. My huevos rancheros was pretty underwhelming. My daughter wasn't impressed with her dish, either. The ppl next to me ordered BLTs and it honestly looked amazing. I was wishing we could switch tables...lolNext time I'll order something different. I will go back and try them again. I saw plenty of orders that looked amazing.

This is hands down the best place to eat in Humboldt. They have the best staff, service, and food around. I have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed. I have always felt great after eating there. I love that no matter what dietary restrictions you may have, they find a way to accommodate you with delicious food. Connie is a culinary genius, and I can feel the love that she infuses in her food with every bite. I absolutely love Cafe Phoenix! I’ve been eating here since they opened and the food is always consistent with clean localish ingredients and I feel great every time after a meal.
