Carriage House Arcata Restaurant

My new favorite place in Arcata! EXCELLENT Happy Hour drinks and appetizer options, and recently they have also majorly expanded their entree options which was a very pleasant surprise when I went there for the first time in over a month. Love it!

Had an amazing meal here while staying in Arcata to visit the redwoods. They had a great vegetarian option and the chicken dish was some of the best chicken I've ever had in a restaurant! The atmosphere was perfect and the service was excellent. If you're looking for a romantic fine dining experience in this area, don't hesitate to go here!

Drawn in by the live pianist, we stopped here on a whim for dinner with our young children. The ambience was calming and our server, Taylor was attentive and gracious. The food, refined American cuisine, was delicious and dynamic. Our experience at the Carriage House was absolutely fantastic.

Kid-friendliness: While the restaurant doesn’t specifically cater to children (neither plastic kids cups nor kids menu to be found here), our children, ages 3 & 6, ate every bite of the short ribs and mashed potatoes which they shared.

While not designed for kids, the staff was very gracious about our kids coming in with us. Everything we ordered was great. We had multiple appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The ribs and chicken were top hits. I would also recommend a couple cocktails, the couple we ordered were top notch.

They were out of almost everything on the menu! Reason given was that they are closed Monday and Tuesday. Maybe they never heard of refrigeration?
We just had our drinks and left !
Luckily the next restaurant we went to actually had food. Just incredible.

Amazing restaurant though it feels more like a private suite. Get there early for happy hour, stay for the entrees and live piano music. Great food and drinks!

I heard about this place through my dentist. Dr. K is a foodie and raved about Carriage House. She was right. The ambiance was nice. The service was great. The food was awesome. The drinks were mixed to the tee. This place is new but the owner has been around for awhile. She seems to know what the locals are looking for. I highly recommend and am looking forward to going back myself.

What a little gem in downtown Arcata. We had the short rib and jackfruit for dinner with a cocktail and a beer. Both dinners were quite savory. The atmosphere is elegant and the service was good. We also had a salad which was delish. We topped it off with a tawny port. Looking forward to dining there again.

A perfect addition to Arcata food and drink options. The design and details are just perfect. Service is fantastic, the bartender is amazing, a very true professional. We had the dumplings, the frisee salad, and the chicken. Dumplings were unique and very good. The chicken was amazing and a revelation…super tender and moist, crispy skin, parsnip purée that was more like a refined sauce, apple matchsticks that surprisingly made so much sense. Best dish I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to go back, and remember to take some pictures!
